Dear District 65 families,

We are excited to have welcomed our students back this week! In District 65 we believe in providing our students and families flexible care options and fun beyond the school day!

Register for fall athletics!

District 65 and the City of Evanston are excited to partner to provide increased access to youth athletics programming. Students in grades 4-5 have the opportunity to participate in school-based flag football and cross country programs this fall. Registration must be completed through the City of Evanston by Thursday, September 4: cityofevanston.org/register.

Please note that the City of Evanston offers programming for students at other ages and grade levels this fall and throughout the year. More information is available on the City of Evanston website.

Confidential fee assistance to participate in athletics is available based on family size and total family income. Please complete the application on the City of Evanston's fee assistance webpage. Visit the District 65 athletics page to learn more.

D65 School Aged Child Care (SACC)

Our beloved district-led School Age Child Care (SACC) program continues to provide a nurturing, caring, and safe environment for students across all elementary and magnet schools before and after the school day. Literacy, enrichment, and academic tutoring are integral components of the SACC program, along with developmentally appropriate activities including sports, drama, art, science, and music! Right at School (RAS)

Childcare

A trusted community partner, Right at School offers before and after school childcare services at most elementary and magnet schools. RAS also offers opportunities for children to engage in enrichment-based curriculum, physical fitness activities, and homework assistance. For more information, including fees, scheduling, and how to register, visit the RAS website.

Fall Discovery Clubs

Registration for fall Discovery Clubs, formerly known as electives, opened on Monday, August 25, and closes Sunday, October 5. Fall electives begin Monday, September 22. This district webpage shows individual elective offerings for your school and includes links for registration and scholarship applications.

Whether through after-school hip-hop class or Saturday cross country meets, we look forward to seeing our students turn up the J-Factor (joy) and have lots of fun this school year!
