January Monthly Update

Dear Fulton Middle and High School Families,

Welcome back! As we step into this new year, we’re excited to continue building upon the progress we’ve made so far this school year. • 1/19 National Honors Society Induction

Tutoring will resume this semester- stay tuned for details.

• 1/13-1/17 Junior & Senior Audit (credit check meetings) all week. Students will set up an appointment using the link provided on 1/7.
• 1/17 Last day to drop a Dual Enrollment course
• 1/27-1/30--Scheduling meetings with 8th-11th graders for updating Educational Development Plans for high school
• 1/27 2025-26 CTE Registration link will be live this week. Students who are interested in CTE will need to register using the link to secure a spot in their program.
• 1/31 Mid-Michigan Career and Recruitment Expo Info session for 11th and 12th graders

The scheduling process for high school students is just around the corner! During the week of January 27th, students will work with Career Navigators from the Gratiot RESD to update their Educational Development Plans, including selecting courses for next year and mapping out all four years of high school. To help you support your student, the course guide, planning sheets, and additional information will be shared with parents the week prior. We encourage you to begin conversations with your student now about their interests, goals, and plans for the future to ensure a productive scheduling experience.

UPDATED PARENT PORTAL

Our MiCares Program has a Parent Portal. Sign up at https://fulton360.suite360sel.org . Use code fulton360 when you create your account. There you will find resources to support the character education lessons at school.

In order for an absence to be marked as anything other than an absence , parents must make contact with the school within 48 hours of the student's return to school. Absences will be changed after that time only upon approval of the principal and can only go back one week. Medical notes are needed for medical appointments.

The building doors open for students at 7:30. Parents can drop off in the circle drive outside the Middle/High School office. Please do not drop students off in the bus loop.

Students must keep all backpacks and duffle bags in their school-provided lockers in the hallway or in the boys'/girls' locker rooms, at all times, unless they’re entering or leaving the building.

• Your student should be bringing work home every day.
• Reach out to your child's teacher for specific details on assignments
• Sign your student up for after school tutoring
