CHS Alum Signorelli Earns Military Excellence Award at Recruit Training Command
Story by Marc Lindsay, U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command
GREAT LAKES (NNS) β Airman Megan Signorelli graduated as the top Sailor from Recruit Training Command, earning the Military Excellence Award (MEA) August 7, 2025.
Signorelli, 20, from Murrieta, California, said she joined the Navy with one mission in mind: to make a real impact by saving lives.

The Navy gives me the chance to serve with purpose and be there for others during their worst moments.β

New SMS Number Update
To improve how we communicate with you, weβve updated the phone number we use to send text messages. Our Outreach text messages will be sent using a local 10-digit phone number.
New Text Message Number for Outreach: 951-670-6124
Please note: Emergency notifications will continue to be sent via our existing short code for now.
We recommend saving it in your contacts as βTVUSD Alertsβ so you always recognize messages from us.
Why the change?
Our mass communications vendor, Finalsite, is moving away from short codes in favor of local phone numbers, in line with industry best practices. Local numbers are more familiar and trusted by recipients, improving message delivery and recognition.
One important clarification:
This change applies only to mass text messages.
Recorded voice messages (such as school closure alerts or attendance calls) will continue to come from our main school phone numbers, as they always have.
While it might seem logical to use the same number for mass text and voice messages, federal regulations require separate numbers for each type of communication.
Thank you for staying connected with us β weβre committed to making sure you receive timely and clear communication from TVUSD.
What is Peachjar?
TVUSD is paperless - we use Peachjar to share flyers with families! All flyers are emailed to families and shared on each school's Peachjar hub.
Peachjar is on Every TVUSD Homepage
Take a look at your schoolβs Peachjar! Did you know itβs linked right on your schoolβs website? You can find the link at the bottom of the homepage under Links & Resources.
For elementary schools, itβs also in the icon panel right below the big picture carousel at the top of the homepage.
π Welcome to The JarβPeachjarβs simplified layout, designed to make browsing flyers easier than ever.
Peachjar has streamlined the flyer experience by combining school and community flyers into one central hub. Now, when you click on any flyer or call to action in an email, youβll be taken to The Jar β a unified feed within the Peachjar Experience that displays all new and historical flyers in one place.
Dear TVUSD Parents and Guardians,
State law requires the Governing Board to notify the parent(s) or guardian(s) of minor pupils enrolled in Temecula Valley Unified School District ("District') schools of the legal rights and responsibilities pertaining to their child(ren)'s education. The Governing Board recognizes that the District is responsible for ensuring that it complies with State and Federal Laws and regulations governing educational programs. The District is required to give annual notification to parents and guardians regarding certain portions of the instructional program and matters related to school administration.
Each parent or guardian is required to sign that you have been informed of your rights. Your signature is an acknowledgment that you have been informed of your rights; it does not give consent for your child or ward to participate in any activity or program in the schools.
Some legislation requires additional notification to the parents or guardians during the school term prior to a specific activity. A separate letter will be sent to the parents or guardians prior to any of these specified activities or classes. Other legislation grants certain rights that are spelled out in this Annual Notification.
The Governing Board encourages each parent and guardian to read and know their rights under the laws governing the education of their children. The District and its Governing Board recognize that parent or guardian involvement in their child's education promotes student achievement and contributes greatly to the student's success. Parents or guardians are urged to fully exercise their rights according to the laws that are explained in this Annual Notification. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the principal of your child's school.
