“Foster Growth by Challenging Critical Thinkers to Take Risks,
Honor Differences & Care for Others”
A PAWSITIVELY BRILLANT YEAR
As we close out another fantastic school year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our students, staff, and parents for making this year truly Pawsitively Brilliant!
This year was filled with growth, learning, and connection. We are incredibly proud of each of our students for the progress they made—academically, socially, and emotionally. With curiosity and courage, our students embraced a growth mindset. They took risks, tried new things both in the classroom and through extracurricular clubs, and supported one another along the way.
Beyond academics, our students also contributed meaningfully to our school community. Whether helping in classrooms, lending a hand throughout the building, or showing kindness and friendship to peers, their efforts made Gold Rush a welcoming and joyful place to learn and grow.
We want to give a special shout-out to both our youngest and oldest students. Our Kindergarten Graduation was a heartwarming celebration of our newest Gold Rush members. Through their songs, stories, and artwork, it was clear how much they’ve grown in just one year!
To our incredible fifth graders and their families, thank you for your years of partnership. As our fifth-grade students head off to middle school, we know they do so with confidence, character, and the skills needed to thrive. We are excited to see all that they will accomplish!
As we head into summer, we wish you all a season filled with fun, rest, and time together as a family. Thank you again for a truly remarkable school year. We can’t wait to see you again in the fall!
THANK YOU PTO & PARENT VOLUNTEERS
We want to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude to our amazing PTO and all of our dedicated parent volunteers. Your support, time, and enthusiasm have made a tremendous impact on our school community, and we are truly grateful.
To our parent volunteers—thank you for being such an important part of our classrooms. Whether you were facilitating small literacy groups, sorting math pages, organizing homework folders, or lending a helping hand in countless other ways, your contributions made a difference each and every day. Our students especially loved the winter and Valentine’s Day parties—made extra special by your creativity and care!
We also want to recognize our phenomenal PTO for the unforgettable events and opportunities you’ve provided this year. Thanks to your planning and dedication, we enjoyed beloved traditions that bring our school community together year after year, including:
-
Digger Dash
-
Western Night
-
Fall & Spring Book Fairs
-
Father-Daughter Dance
-
Monster Gold
-
Festival on the Field
These events do more than just entertain—they create lasting memories and a strong sense of community. Simply put, they wouldn’t be possible without you.
Thank you for your continued partnership, your generosity, and your unwavering commitment to making Gold Rush a Pawsitively Brilliant place to learn, grow, and celebrate together. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive and engaged parent community.

PTO INTRODUCES GIFTCROWD
PTO is introducing GiftCrowd this year as an easy, free, and virtual way for GRE families to express their gratitude toward our school’s teachers and staff. With GiftCrowd, end-of-year contributions are easily collected and organized into a meaningful group gift, while you can add personalized greetings for your favorite teachers and staff members.
The deadline for joining end-of-year gifts is May 23rd at 5:00pm. To access the Gold Rush Elementary gifting page, click this link or use the following QR code.
If you want to participate with us and streamline your end-of-year gifting, here's some helpful information:
1. Using this site is free and the full amount gifted goes to our teachers and staff. There is a credit card processing charge that is paid upfront by gift givers.
2. You can gift directly to an individual team member. You can also participate in a team-wide group gift that will be split equally between all GRE teachers and staff.
3. Teachers will be made aware of who participated, but donation amounts are not shared. Many modest donations add up, and the gesture, not the amount, is appreciated.
4. On May 23rd at 5:00 pm, the site will notify GRE Teachers and Staff the amount they have been gifted. They can then use the site to turn that gift amount into gift cards from their favorite stores and restaurants.
5. This is NOT a fundraiser - just an easy and fun way to acknowledge our school community. Participation is totally optional.
