Above the Barre is thrilled to present our Bright Lights, Big Dreams Summer Aerial Concert! Our annual show is a celebration of our aerialists hard work, growth, and love of dance, and we cannot wait to share this exciting experience with you and your family.

This document includes all essential information to help make the concert season smooth, organized, and enjoyable. Please read carefully and mark important dates on your calendar.

Sunday, May 3, 2026- Picture Day

Friday, August 7th, 2026: Dress Rehearsal for Circus & Aerial Classes

Arrive at 4:30 pm to begin the show run-through at 5:00 pm

Saturday, August 8th, 2026: Saturday Matinee Show

Performers arrive at 12:30 pm, Doors Open at 1:30 pm, and the Show starts at 2:00 pm

The participation form is available below and must be completed in order for your student to participate in the show or to let us know that you are not available.

Your aerialist will have the opportunity to sign up for a solo, duet, or trio to perform in the showcase. These routines will be taught outside of your aerialist’s regularly scheduled class through private lessons. Private lessons are $35 for 30 minutes or $70 for 60 minutes. A small portion of this fee goes to the studio, with the remainder supporting your instructor’s time and choreography.

For duets and trios, the cost of the lesson is split between participants while the overall rate remains the same (for example, a 60-minute duet lesson would be $35 per student). Partners for duets and trios will be assigned based on skill level; however, if your dancer has specific friends they would like to perform with, please include their names on the form.

You can expect to receive an email with your aerialist’s solo information about one week after submitting the form. Costumes for these routines may be purchased independently or ordered through the studio. Once private lessons begin, please consult with your instructor to determine the best option.

Picture Day will be held at Above The Barre’s Bagley Rd. location:

1450 West Bagley Rd, Berea, OH 44017.

A professional photographer will be on site for Dance Concert Picture Day, Sunday, May 3rd.

• Hair and makeup must be completed at home

• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time

• All aerialists should participate in group photos, even if you do not plan to purchase individual photos

• Group photos will be printed in the 2026 ATB Souvenir Program

Parents will wait outside the photo room during photo sessions. Please do not drop off students unattended.

2026 Dance Concert Program Advertising & Student Spotlight

We appreciate your interest in being part of the 2026 Dance Concert Program! This year’s program will be a full-sized, perfect-bound publication distributed to hundreds of members of the Above The Barre community at our concerts.

The program will feature:

• A complete lineup of all shows

• All dancers’ names

• Beautiful photos of students attending Above The Barre

Families and local businesses have the opportunity to:

• Advertise their business with a limited, full-color ad (available on a first-come, first-served basis), or

• Create a personalized spotlight with a photo and message celebrating their dancer

By participating, you are not only supporting a vital organization in our community, but also sharing your business—or your dancer’s special moment—with a diverse audience of hundreds of concert attendees.

Awards and photo recognition in our program are given to students who have been enrolled continuously at Above The Barre for 5, 10, or 15 years! If your dancer is eligible for this award, please be sure to complete the ATB 5, 10, & 15-Year Form, linked below, to ensure your dancer is properly recognized at our concerts.

The Participation Fee is due by May 16, 2026, and is $75 per student, per class. This fee covers your aerialists' stunning costumes, a participation award, and any necessary accessories for their performance. The showcase will be professionally organized by our dedicated staff, ensuring an unforgettable experience your aerialist will treasure for years to come!

Dress rehearsal will take place at Above the Barre’s Bagley Rd. location on the evening of Friday, August 7th. Please be in costume and sitting in the Aerial Area at the rehearsal start time listed above. We will run through the show twice, and your dancer will be dismissed after their performance in the second run. This is a closed rehearsal, so only one parent may attend if needed. Rehearsal is estimated to last about 2 hrs and will help your dancer understand the layout and flow of the show to ensure everyone’s safety in the performance space.

Costumes will be available at our Bagley location the day of Pictures for your aerialist to wear. Once their picture is complete, please return the costume to the front desk. To ensure the safekeeping of all performance costumes ATB will hold the costumes after picture day and distribute them to each class the week of the concert (August 1st - 7th). If your aerialist is young, please return to class on costume distribution week 15 minutes early to help them try on their costume. Please note that costumes will not be distributed to accounts that are not in good standing. This is strictly enforced, and there will be no exceptions,

Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the performance. Aerial & Acro concert tickets are $10 cash at the door for all ages. Do not purchase a ticket for your aerialist. Ticket sales will begin at 1:30 pm, with the performance beginning at 2:00 pm

You are welcome to film your aerialists’ performance during our In-House Aerial & Acro Concert. However, for the safety of the aerialists, there will be no flash photography during any portion of the performance except the finale.

All ATB Concert Music will be available for your child through your parent portal. The music will be located in the resource tab to help your aerialist practice at home. All music will be uploaded by July 1st, 2026.

Your student's current schedule will continue through the end of the summer session. Continued training is highly encouraged to maintain technique and progress.

Classes for the 2026–2027 season will begin August 24, 2026.

Families enrolled through the summer will receive priority enrollment and automatic placement based on teacher recommendations.

Priority Enrollment: June 29th - July 7th

Open Enrollment: July 8th

Your account balance must be in good standing prior to receiving your child’s costume and participating in the show. Your child will not be able to try on their costume or participate in the show until your account balance is at zero. There are no exceptions. Thank you!
