A world collapsed.
Everything once known left me alone.
As the rocks crumbled in a forever building climax,
I aimed my hammer above the stone.
From that rock I was hurled.
Falling filled me with terror,
for familiarity was the only way to live.
But as the wind whistled past open ears,
I saw a better world.
And I realized I could truly thrive.
I'm thankful I opened my eyes.
