Principal's Update

Fall Spirit Day, Friday, Oct. 30

Students are invited to wear costumes to school on Friday, October 30, for our fall-themed spirit day! All costumes should be school appropriate. To keep the day safe and focused on learning, please leave toy weapons, face masks, and large or distracting costumes at home.

Student Government Elections

Student government elections were held on Friday, October 23. Congratulations to all of our candidates on their professional and positive campaigns!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on October 28th and 29th. Some staff members are also offering appointments on additional days, before and/or after school.

Please sign up for a conference HERE. Please note that slots are no longer visible once they are within 48 hours of the appointment time, so you will need to book before that window closes. For example, to schedule a conference on October 28th, you must sign up by October 26th.

If you have any classroom-specific questions or need to change an appointment, please contact your child’s teacher directly.

Fund What’s Next!

Help support our favorite community members – our students! The Norwell Education Foundation (NEF) is launching its annual Fall Giving Campaign to kick off a year of innovation and impact.

Since 1992, the NEF has collaborated with educators and school administrators in the Norwell School District to facilitate the development and funding of teacher-written grants. We rely solely on the generous support of the community, so please consider donating to help fund grants that provide resources for innovative educational programs, activities and materials.

The Fall Giving Campaign is one of the best ways to support innovation, opportunity, and excellence for all Norwell Public School students – please click on the link below to donate.

Once Upon A Mattress

Once Upon a Mattress is an incredibly popular show that has been on Broadway three times since its inception. A quirky take on The Princess and the Pea, it has delighted theater goers of all ages for decades.

Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans.

Suitable for all audiences. Run time is 2.5 hours, which includes a 15 minute intermission.

Tickets are $15 at Tickets - Norwell Arts or at the door.
