Welcome to Week Two! It’s been so great seeing our students settle in and bring the school back to life over these past few days. As I continue learning names and routines during my first year here, please know my door is open and I am grateful to partner with you in your child’s school year. Thanks for making me feel so welcome! We have a wonderful week ahead with very few interruptions - so there aren’t any specific activities to report day to day at this time. I’m looking forward to a fantastic week ahead!

To ensure all students are safe on school grounds, please note our staff supervision hours for drop-off and pick-up:

• Morning Drop-off: Outdoor supervision begins at 8:35 a.m. Students should not arrive or be dropped off before 8:35 a.m., as there are no staff on duty outside to ensure their safety.

• Afternoon Pick-up: Outdoor supervision ends at 3:38 p.m. Please ensure your child is picked up promptly at dismissal before 3:38 p.m.

To keep our students safe during busy arrival and dismissal times—and to ensure our school day runs smoothly—we ask all families to follow our school parking guidelines.

Because our school site has limited space, our main parking lot is reserved strictly for school staff. Thank you for respecting this boundary so our teachers, educational assistants, and support staff can park and be ready to welcome your children on time each morning!

Where to Park & Drop Off

• Parent Drop and Go (57A Ave): Located along the sidewalk directly in front of the school. This zone is for quick drop-offs only; adults must remain in their vehicles and depart immediately to keep traffic moving safely.

• Bus Drop-Off Zone (58 Ave): Located along the sidewalk directly behind the school field on 58 Ave between marked signs. Please leave this zone clear for school buses at all times.

• Preferred Parent Parking: Along the residential streets on both 57A Ave and 58 Ave. This is a great option.

• Staff Parking Lot: Reserved strictly for staff parking. A very limited number of designated visitor stalls are available near the entrance. Also,for safety, we do not want students walking through the parking lot.

Please complete the 2026-2027 RDCRS Student Information Update Form for your child(ren)

This form is required and will, in most cases, take approximately 2-3 minutes to complete.

How to access the 2026-2027 RDCRS Student Information Update Form:

• Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal from a PC, Mac, or Chromebook: Click Here

• If you are unsure of your username/password, use the "Forgot Username or Password?" link to reset it, or feel free to contact your child's school for assistance.

• In PowerSchool, select the "School Engage" button (scroll down and select the last button on the left-hand side)

• In School Engage, select the Students tab, then select your child’s name.

• Look for the 2026-2027 RDCRS Student Information Update Form on the right-hand side of the screen.

• To open the form, click the blue, "Open" button under 2026-2027 RDCRS Student Information Update Form.

• After opening the form, please look over the information carefully and make updates if necessary. Advance through the pages using the Next button at the bottom of the page.

• Complete the process by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the last page.
