Soumaia Ibrahim
Soumaia is a thoughtful and curious student who brings quiet determination to her 8th grade classes. She enjoys listening to stories and is working on her short-term goal of speaking with more people and becoming less shy. Soumaia’s long-term goal is to graduate from university and continue learning throughout her life. Her favorite subject is Math because she finds it exciting and easy to understand, and she is inspired by Mr. Richards, whose teaching demonstrates that Math is both useful and beautiful.
Maximilliano Lopez
Maximilliano is a calm, quiet, sporty, and kind student who brings focus and dedication to his 8th grade classes. He enjoys watching a variety of sports and playing soccer. Maximilliano’s short-term goal is to earn mostly A’s and B’s this marking period, and his long-term goal is to graduate high school with a strong GPA and pursue playing a sport in college. In class, he is currently learning about wars and Veterans Day in Social Studies, 7-step equations in Math, elastic and inelastic behaviors in Science, and writing essays in ELA. His favorite subject is Science because he enjoys learning important information in a fun and engaging way. Maximilliano is inspired by his 6th-grade Social Studies teacher, who he admires for his dedication and perseverance after serving in the Iraq War, showing that hard work and resilience can lead to success.
