Argyle High School's High Flyer Recognition! π
Congratulations to AHS senior Isabella Tafur for being recognized as an Argyle ISD High Flyer!
During the Thanksgiving food drive, Isabella helped sort donations with her Student Leadership class, impressing district staff with her hard work and positive attitude. Even more impressive, she volunteered her time to return and help again, took on a challenging task on her own, and knocked it out of the park!
Her dedication, initiative, and service-minded character are exactly what the High Flyers program celebrates.
Isabella was surprised with this recognition in her class by the Argyle ISD Communications Department staff and campus administration! High Flyers win a $25 gift card of their choice!

π Thank You, Argyle ISD Families!
We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity shown during this yearβs Argyle ISD Thanksgiving Food Drive. Thanks to the heartfelt donations from our students, families, and staff across every campus, we were able to provide essential food items to support families in need right here in our community.
We served more than 100 Argyle ISD families and staff!
Your kindness ensures that many Argyle ISD families will experience comfort and nourishment during the holiday season. Thank you for continuing to show what makes Argyle ISD such a special and caring community. We are proud and grateful for your support!
π Argyle ISD Earns Superior Achievement for Financial Stewardship!
Argyle ISD has received special recognition for the 23rd consecutive year from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for its financial stewardship.
The district earned an βAβ for Superior Achievement under the Texasβ FIRST Financial Accountability Rating System. This rating is the stateβs highest, demonstrating the quality of AISDβs financial management and reporting system over the past two decades.
Argyle ISD Chief Financial Officer Liz Stewart presented the FIRST Report for the 2024-2025 school year to the Board of Trustees during the regular Board meeting on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025.
The Texas Education Agency assigns one of four financial accountability ratings to Texas school districts: A for Superior Achievement, B for Above Standard Achievement, C for Standard Achievement, and F for Substandard Achievement.
The evaluation covers 21 indicators of financial health, including administrative cost ratios, the accuracy of financial information submitted to the state, and the district's ability to meet its financial obligations. The district scored 96 out of 100 (Superior Achievement 90-100).
The primary goal of School FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of school districtsβ financial resources, a goal made more significant due to the complexity of accounting associated with Texasβ school finance system.
βREMINDERβ Argyle ISD's Inclement Weather Procedures
As we begin the winter weather season, Argyle ISD would like to remind our students, staff, families and community of the district's Inclement Weather Procedures.
Agyle ISD collaborates with the National Weather Service, Denton County officials and neighboring school district before making decisions to close or delay school. Officials attempt to provide details about school closings to staff, students and parents by no later than 6 a.m.
Factors considered before making a weather-related decision about school include:
- road conditions, temperatures
- the presence of snow, ice and sleet
- student driver safety
- sidewalk and parking lot conditions; and
- the ability for staff who live outside the district to get to work
- whether or not HVAC systems are operating correctly; and
- whether or not neighboring school districts are having school.
Notifications
Argyle ISD will send alerts and updates via multiple communications tools. The district will post to the AISD Facebook, X and Instagram accounts. Parent email & text notifications will be sent by the district's mass notification system (ParentSquare). Notifications will also be posted to the district website to help keep parents, students, staff and the community informed of all weather-related alerts.
If you are not currently receiving ParentSquare messages please contact Christopher Sayler at christopher.sayler@argyleisd.com.
Social Media Reminder: False reports of school closings, accidents or injuries by students will not be tolerated, nor will inappropriate language or references that violate the Student Code of Conduct.
Radio & Television Announcements: Official announcements during inclement weather will also be announced on DFW radio and television stations, including WBAP 820 AM, NBC 5, Fox 4, KTVT Ch. 11 and WFAA Ch. 8.
