Our November SEL theme is Gratitude ๐
During morning announcements the month of November, we are incorporating A Moment of Gratitude Challenge to reflect on 3-4 things we are grateful for each day. We are also encouraging students and staff to reflect, write or share what comes to mind after their reflection.
You and your family are encouraged to join us in the challenge at home! Print the template and use it to reflect, write or talk about the things you are thankful for each day in November.
Having an attitude of means focusing on the good things in your life. When you feel grateful, youโre happier, because you appreciate the positive stuff around you-like friends, family, or even a sunny day. This positive outlook makes challenges feel smaller, and helps you stay calm and patient.
Gratitude can turn a rough day around because it reminds you of the good things you already have, making you feel more at peace and less stressed. Itโs like putting on โhappy glassesโ that help you see things in a brighter way!
Letโs make November a month of Cultivating Thankfulness and Harvesting Gratitude!
Thank you all,
Susan Carlock, Counselor
