NEW! Walking the Path with Senior Nichelle Alexander NEW! Walking the Path with Senior Nichelle Alexander

As the Class of 2024 completes the final week here at HF, this episode features HF Senior Nichelle Alexander. Nichelle has been behind the camera of every episode of Walking the Path for the past two years. In this episode, she steps in front of the camera to share how opportunities to make films here at HF led her to debut a film in Times Square New York City and prepared her to head to Howard University in the fall!

S2 Ep 9 Nichelle Alexander, Senior, Filmmaker

Walking the path between the north and south buildings is a unique experience for Homewood-Flossmoor High School students. Superintendent Dr. Scott Wakeley walks the path with a member of our school community to learn about their Viking voyage and how the competencies of the Profile of a Viking are evident in their lives.

Happening Monday: Superintendent Search Focus Group Happening Monday: Superintendent Search Focus Group

HF Superintendent Dr. Scott Wakeley announced his retirement during a faculty meeting last month. Effective at the end of the 2024-25 school year, Dr. Wakeley will conclude his education career that spans 34 years, including 20 years as a superintendent, with four of those leading Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233.

The Board of Education has contracted with The Alma Advisory Group to conduct a search for our next Superintendent of Schools. A major part of the process is seeking input from stakeholders on the characteristics they would like to see in our next leader.

The "What's Your Vision for the Future of HF" engagement process includes several opportunities for community members to meet with The Alma Advisory Group consultant. Please mark your calendars for these opportunities. We hope you will join us to share your thoughts!
