Principal's Message

Dear Linden Elementary Families,

Welcome back! We are so excited to begin another wonderful school year together.

One of the greatest joys of summer was seeing so many smiling faces throughout our community. Whether at summer activities, around town, or simply crossing paths with our families, those moments were a wonderful reminder of what makes Linden such a special place.

I truly love our community. Our families and children are a treasure, and it is a privilege to welcome them through our doors each day. The relationships we share and the way our community comes together for our children make Linden Elementary an incredible place to learn, grow, and belong.

As we prepare for the first day of school, there is already a wonderful sense of excitement throughout our building. We also continue to make improvements to our campus, including a refreshed building façade that you will see taking shape in the weeks ahead. We are excited about these improvements and the bright year ahead.

Our staff has been busy preparing to welcome our Linden Leaders back to school, and we are excited for the energy and joy they bring to our building! We know the start of a new school year can bring both excitement and some nervousness, especially for our youngest learners. Thank you for your patience as we finalize class lists. Teachers will begin reaching out to families Friday afternoon, August 14.

Open House: Monday, August 17

Before Open House, please be on the lookout for an email from your child’s classroom teacher on Friday afternoon, August 14. The email will include important information about the classroom and help your family prepare for the year ahead.

Open House Times

Young 5s and Kindergarten: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
1st through 3rd Grade: 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Open House is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to meet their teacher, explore the classroom, connect with our staff, ask questions, and build comfort and confidence before the first day of school.

Getting Ready for the School Year

These final days of summer are a great time to begin easing back into school routines. Consider establishing consistent bedtimes, practicing morning routines, and talking with your child about all the exciting things ahead, including new friendships, meaningful learning, and memorable experiences. A confident and prepared mindset can make a wonderful difference as children begin a new school year.

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch will be free for all students during the 2026 to 2027 school year.

Let’s SOAR Together! There is so much to look forward to this year, and we cannot wait to see our Linden Elementary Eagles SOAR! Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of our school family. Together, we will continue to create a safe, supportive, joyful, and welcoming environment where every child knows they are valued and belongs.

Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, laughter, friendship, and growth.

With warm regards,

Jeannine Strickert

Breakfast and Lunch for 26-27

Although breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost to students, we are asking every family to complete and return the Education Benefits Form to the school office. Completing this form is important because the information helps our district receive valuable funding that directly supports our students, classrooms, and educational programs. Every completed form makes a difference! We greatly appreciate your time and partnership in helping us continue to provide the best possible opportunities and resources for our Linden students.

Parking Lot Safety and Efficiency

Calling All Linden Elementary Families:

Please review these important reminders for a safe and smooth school day:

  • Bus Transportation:

    • Please confirm your child’s transportation arrangements at Open House on August 17th.

  • Parent Drop-Off:

    • Staff members will welcome students outside at 8:20 a.m. Please plan your arrival accordingly.

  • School Begins:

    • School starts promptly at 8:34.

  • Drop-Off Safety:

    • Pull forward to the last staff member in the loop before stopping to unload.

    • Stay in your car; staff will assist your child.

    • Teach your child to exit on the passenger side quickly and safely.

    • Children should not cross the parking lot during drop-off or pick-up.

  • Dismissal Time:

    • Student dismissal is at 3:42 p.m.

  • Dismissal Procedures:

    • Choose one consistent way for your child to get home—curbside pick-up or bus.

    • Curbside Pick-Up: Stay in your car, display the parent pick-up sign provided at Open House with your child’s name, grade, and teacher, and staff will bring your child to your vehicle.

    • Bus Riders: Students will follow their regular bus routine unless you notify the teacher in a note in the morning. To ensure safety, parents are NOT allowed in the bus loop at any time, including dismissal. If you have last-minute changes, please contact the office by 2:30 p.m. Once students board the bus, they cannot be removed. Early pick-ups should be reserved for emergencies, as leaving before 3:15 will be marked tardy and disrupts learning.

Thank you for helping us keep all our Eagles safe!!

A Word from Officer Williams

Hello, Linden Elementary Families!

I’m Officer Williams, your School Resource Officer, and I’m excited to welcome our students and families back for another great school year!

One of the best parts of my role is getting to know our students and being a positive, familiar face they can count on. My job is to help keep our school safe, support our students and staff, and build strong relationships with the children and families who make our school community so special.

Throughout the year, you’ll see me greeting students during arrival and dismissal, visiting classrooms, attending school events, and spending time getting to know our Eagles. I want every student to know that I am here to help, listen, encourage, and make sure they feel safe and supported at school.

I’m looking forward to plenty of smiles, high fives, conversations, and great memories this year. I hope everyone has a safe, happy, and successful start to the school year.

Welcome back, Eagles! Let’s make it a great year together!
