Happy Occupational Therapy month! Did you know that CISD has 19 Occupational Therapy team members? We provide services to over 700 students and serve every campus in the district. Occupational Therapists also provide campus consultation for a wide variety of needs including equipment, environment modification, and staff training. Thank you OTs for all you do for our students, staff and fellow team members.
This month, we prepare for a critical update that will be occurring with our Assistive Technology student specific iPads. Please take a few moments and review the necessary steps that are required to insure that student's pages are preserved and continue to be ready for use once the update has been completed.
Backup communication pages.
Also, complete an iOS update if indicated. iOS: update: iPad update
IPad will be wiped.
Our district AT technology support provider will wipe devices and then push out designated apps. If you don't receive the communication app that your student was using, let AT know and we will have technology push it out to the student's AT iPad.
Import communication pages
The final step is to import the pages that you last backed up. Here is a link with instructions. Let us know if you need help. If you didn't back up your pages, your pages are lost and will need to be recreated.

Student Log In User Name Password
For students in PK -4th grade their user name password is stu + their ID number. This number is on their View It page. For students in 5th through 12th, they complete their log in with their password and icon. If students do not know their password, refer to the following link:

If students do not know their icon, reach out to HELP at conroeisd.net for assistance.
Guided Access
If Assistive Technology sets a guided access code, the code will be 8770 or 870000. If there is an edit passcode within a communication app, it typically is the same code. Please write down the code you are using. This is especially critical if you change the code or are sending an iPad to ESY. Make sure and write the code down on your ESY paperwork if you have set a code other than 8770 or 877000. Thanks!
