November has come and gone in the blink of an eye and suddenly we find ourselves staring at Thanksgiving on the calendar! Before we turn the calendar to December ... which will fly by as quickly as November did ... this Thanksgiving break gives all of us a chance to pause, reset, and celebrate. Wishing all of our students and families a relaxing, joyful, and well-deserved Thanksgiving holiday and break!

This year Hull High School is offering five new elective courses as part of our long-term goals to expand pathways for students and to offer new, exciting, and diverse learning opportunities for all students.

  • Modern Band has brought a fresh dimension to our music program, giving students the chance to collaborate, create, and perform using contemporary instruments and styles. Students from the class recently performed at a fundraiser at The C Note, raising over $1700 for the Class of 2026.
  • Our new Robotics course has also taken off, strengthening our STEM program and giving students hands-on experience in engineering, programming, and problem-solving. This course aligns with our broader goals of preparing students with real-world skills and fostering curiosity and exploration.
  • Our new Introduction to Business course has quickly become a valuable addition to our curriculum, building students’ entrepreneurial skills and offering practical insights into how businesses grow and thrive. Through real-world projects and creative problem-solving, students are learning to think innovatively, take initiative, and understand the fundamentals of launching and managing a venture.
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Drawing has added an exciting dimension to our visual arts program, giving students the opportunity to develop their artistic voice through advanced studio work and sustained creative practice. The course challenges students to refine their technical skills, experiment with materials, and produce a portfolio that reflects both skill and personal expression.
  • Our new course The Writer’s Journey gives students a space to explore creative writing in all its forms. Through workshops, storytelling exercises, and sustained writing projects, students are developing their voices, honing their craft, and learning to see themselves as authors.

Missed an opportunity to get into one of these this year? Not to worry ... look for them next spring when we begin the process for 2026-2027 course selection!

Making an Impact in the Community Making an Impact in the Community

Familes4Families and Project 351 would like to thank the HHS students and staff, the Jacobs Elementary/Middle School, and the entire community for their donations of new and gently used children's books for the Hull Family Network, toiletry items, hats, mittens and coats for the veterans, and canned goods for Wellspring. The donation drive was a huge success and benefited the three organizations immensely.

Hull High School Theatre Arts students, parents, directors, and Superintendent Jette completed their biggest yearly fundraiser “rake and take” earlier this month. They raked and disposed of approximately 1,000 bags of leaves from homes in Hull!

Student Government is spreading positivity this month in honor of World Kindness Day! The club decorated cheerful “Cups of Kindness” to share with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences. The cups were filled with complimentary popcorn or trail mix and came with a bottled water. The club also created thank-you cards for Substitute Teacher Appreciation Day, recognizing the amazing substitutes who step in to support our classrooms every day.

We are proud to celebrate the exceptional accomplishment of Robby Warford, grade 11, who led the way in a fundraising campaign for Tap Cancer Out, an jiu-jitsu non-profit organization that is taking the fight to cancer. A recent Massachusetts tournament brought together more than 900 competitors and raised over $330,000 statewide. Robby topped the fundraising board with an extraordinary $25,488, adding to his remarkable lifetime total of $101,341. His commitment, leadership, and generosity continue to set an inspiring example for our entire school community. Congratulations, Robby, on this outstanding achievement!
