Dear DMS Families,
Although it was a short week, our students and staff remained fully engaged in meaningful learning experiences. For example, our eighth graders explored the phases of matter in science, learned how to solve proportions using cross multiplication, and examined how the Mayflower Compact influenced American colonists and the development of political institutions in colonial America.
In addition to academics, our school community came together to support important causesβdonning pink for Breast Cancer Awareness and orange to take a stand against bullying. We also captured plenty of bright smiles during fall picture day!
Warmly,
Dr. Cheryl Leandro, Principal cleandro@drregional.org
Mr. Sean Kinney, Assistant Principal skinney@drregional.org

πβ½ SPORTS NEWS πβ½
An Important Announcement regarding DMS Sporting Events
We want to take this opportunity to remind families that DMS students are more than welcome to return to DMS to watch their friends play soccer/baseball/softball. However, they should take their regularly scheduled transportation home and return for the game if they would like to watch.
Games do not begin until 3:15/3:30 p.m., and school staff is not always after school to monitor students between the end of the day and the game. With that, it is important to note that school staff is also not always in attendance at soccer/softball/baseball games, so it is recommended that students come to the game with an adult.
