Class of 2026 Newsletter!
May 11th, 2026
LAST WEEK OF SENIOR YEAR!!!
Seniors!
It is officially the final week of your senior year! As we head into senior exams and graduation week, please make sure you are staying on top of all deadlines, expectations, and important information. Linked below is a helpful schedule to navigate this week.
Seniors may be exempt from a course final exam if they have an overall course average of 90 or higher. However, students may choose to take the final exam in an effort to improve their course grade. If a student chooses to take the exam, the final exam score can only help increase the final course grade and will not lower it. Seniors enrolled in 1/2 credit courses cannot exempt the exam (examples include US Government, Economics, Sociology Pt. 1, etc.). The course must be a full Carnegie credit to qualify for exemption.
Please make sure you have checked your FAs and current grades so you are fully prepared for Senior Checkout next Monday. There is a lot of updated information in the senior newsletter that is imperative to getting you to graduation, so please read the entire newsletter carefully.
As a reminder, Senior Checkout and Graduation Practices are NOT optional - they are mandatory for all graduating seniors.
We are almost there, finish strong, and letβs have a great final week!
Warmly,
Ms. Waters
Board Policy:
The superintendent may exempt from final examinations only seniors enrolled in courses earning a full Carnegie unit both first and second semesters for high school diploma credit who have an average of 90 or above for the second semester course, effective August 19, 2016. All underclassmen students will take final examinations. The superintendent may not exempt students from final advanced placement examinations, state end of course examinations, or one-semester one-half Carnegie unit course examinations.
