🔴Safety Drills @ SCE: I Love You Guys!🔴 🔴Safety Drills @ SCE: I Love You Guys!🔴

This week we practiced another lockdown drill on Wednesday, November 4—following our I Love U Guys protocol detailed below. If you haven't yet, please take time to learn about the "I Love U Guys" foundation. It is a phenomenal group helping to keep kids safe across the country. Our students did an outstanding job during the drill, listening carefully to their teachers and moving safely, quietly, and quickly so everyone could get right back to learning.

🍂SCE FALL BOOK FAIR🍂 🍂SCE FALL BOOK FAIR🍂

Every year the SCE Library hosts 2 book fairs. These are the only fundraisers directly benefiting the library. In past years, we have used book fair proceeds to purchase new books, furniture, and supplies, and to sponsor guest authors. This truly benefits the whole Soca Creek Community. This year, we are switching things up with a new book fair company. We are using Literati Book Fairs. Click the link below for all the information you need for this year's Fall Book Fair.

Have you gotten your flu shot yet?

Colorado has already recorded its first pediatric influenza-associated death of the season, and flu hospitalizations are rising. This follows the worst influenza season on record last year for Colorado children, with 1,169 hospitalizations and eight deaths.

A Community Conversation: Mental Health in the Yampa Valley

Resources. Data. Action.

Hosted by Yampa Valley Community Foundation and The Health Partnership

A community conversation to share data, resources and next steps.

November 17th at 5:30 PM

Bud Werner Memorial Library Hall

Food: Pizza, soda, & NA Beer!

FREE to attend. All are Welcome!

We have resources. We have new data. Now let's shape what's next — together.

Many valuable mental health resources and services exist in the Yampa Valley, and new local data is helping us better understand our community’s needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. Now, we have an opportunity to bring those pieces together and build a stronger, more connected path forward for mental health and well-being in our region.

Join us for a community-wide conversation about mental health in the Yampa Valley. We'll share new data, explore local trends, highlight the resources and services already available, and discuss how we can turn what we're learning into meaningful action.

Whether you're personally impacted by mental health challenges, supporting a loved one, working in the field, or simply care about the well-being of our community, your perspective matters.

Come listen. Come learn. Come share your ideas. Help shape what comes next.

💅No Fake Nails- Please💅 💅No Fake Nails- Please💅

To help keep our classrooms focused on learning, we kindly ask that families save fake and press-on nails for weekends and school breaks.

While fun to wear, these items have become a major distraction for our younger students during writing, hands-on activities, and instructional time. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our learning environment engaged and distraction-free!

💵SCHOOLCASH ONLINE💵 💵SCHOOLCASH ONLINE💵

The Steamboat Springs School District uses SchoolCash Online for all school items and fees. Here at Soda Creek, we use SchoolCash to charge all damaged or lost tech and media fees, and even preschool tuition. By using SchoolCash, parents can manage all school fees and items for their students in one location, have the convenience of a secure online payment platform, and the schools improve safety and reduce risk by minimizing cash and check payments at our schools.

Registering for an account is easy and takes less than two minutes! Once you're registered, you will start receiving notifications about any fees your student has here at Soda Creek.

We need all parents to register now, so you'll be ready to make online payments from home. Your student may already have fees in their account. If you are not registered in SchoolCash, you might not be aware that your student has incurred fees. Please register as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. If you need further information on how to register with SchoolCash, click here, and you will be redirected to the district's SchoolCash information and instruction page.
