Harllee Families,

We hope that the new year has started off well for all of you. We are busy with learning and activities every day here at N. W. Harllee.

Our focus remains to cultivate a positive climate and create the best learning environment possible. High quality instruction and student learning are our highest priorities. Everything that we do at Harllee is designed to help students learn in all areas and be successful well beyond their time in early learning. Once again, that partnership between school and home is a key ingredient for student success. With that said, we hope that your students are feeling safe and supported. This is an interesting time in their lives and development, and can be challenging at times. If you have questions and or concerns, we want to hear from you.

It is hard to believe that we have passed the halfway point of the year. Students are settled in routines and understand our school- wide expectations. Teachers have worked hard to create meaningful learning opportunities and teach school-wide behavior expectations. Consistency and predictability are key factors for student success, as well as a calm learning environment to better focus on learning.

We are excited to share that we are going to recognize our students that have met their middle of the year MAP and CIRCLE assessment goals from this last semester with a data party. We will also honor other areas such as perfect attendance, citizenship and improvement.

A reminder about attendance: We may only excuse an absence for up to 3 school days after the student returns from an absence. A parent/guardian may call Ms. Daniels our CRC (972) 925-6500, or send a note to the office with the student. We’re fortunate to work with your students every day. Thank you for allowing us to play a role in their development.

¡Hola familias de Harllee!

Esperamos que el nuevo año haya empezado bien para todos vosotros. Estamos ocupados con el aprendizaje y las actividades todos los días aquí en N. W. Harllee. Nuestro enfoque sigue siendo cultivar un clima positivo y crear el mejor ambiente de aprendizaje posible. La instrucción de alta calidad y el aprendizaje de los estudiantes son nuestras principales prioridades. Todo lo que hacemos en Harllee está diseñado para ayudar a los estudiantes a aprender en todas las áreas y a tener éxito mucho más allá de su tiempo en el aprendizaje temprano. Una vez más, esa asociación entre la escuela y el hogar es un ingrediente clave para el éxito de los estudiantes. Dicho esto, esperamos que sus estudiantes se sientan seguros y apoyados. Este es un momento interesante en sus vidas y desarrollo, y en ocasiones puede ser un desafío. Si tiene preguntas o inquietudes, queremos saber de usted.

Cuesta creer que hayamos pasado la mitad del año. Los estudiantes se adaptan a las rutinas y comprenden nuestras expectativas a nivel escolar. Los maestros han trabajado duro para crear oportunidades de aprendizaje significativas y enseñar expectativas de comportamiento en toda la escuela. La coherencia y la previsibilidad son factores clave para el éxito de los estudiantes, así como un ambiente de aprendizaje tranquilo para centrarse mejor en el aprendizaje.

Nos complace compartir que vamos a reconocer a nuestros estudiantes que han cumplido con sus objetivos de evaluación MAP y CIRCLE de mitad de año de este último semestre con una fiesta de datos. También honraremos otras áreas como asistencia perfecta, civismo y mejora.

Un recordatorio sobre la asistencia: Solo podemos excusar una ausencia por hasta 3 días escolares después de que el estudiante regrese de una ausencia. Un padre/tutor puede llamar a la Sra. Daniels a nuestro CRC (972) 925-6500 o enviar una nota a la oficina con el estudiante. Tenemos la suerte de trabajar con sus estudiantes todos los días. Gracias por permitirnos desempeñar un papel en su desarrollo.

Just a reminder, jeans are only to be worn Wednesdays with a college shirt and Fridays with a spirit shirt. PTA has extra spirit shirts for sale. Please contact front office for more information on how to purchase.
