Dear Audubon Families,
What a fun week we had! Our Snow & Glow Family Dance was a huge success, and it was wonderful to see so many students and families enjoying themselves. A big thank you to our parents, staff, and everyone who helps make this event possible each year—it truly takes a team!
On Saturday, we hosted the Regional Governor's Cup Academic Team Competition, and we are so proud of our Eagles who competed: Brendan Books, Cameron Brooks, Harper Carrico, Lainey Deisher, and Ellanor Hathaway. Your hard work and dedication really shined!
Looking ahead:
Kona Ice will be here on Friday, March 6th. This is a prepay only event—please see the flyer and link in this memo to reserve your treat.
No school on Friday, March 13th.
Students who met both their Reading and Math MAP growth goals will be celebrated with a Silent Disco Party this week—fun times ahead!
Our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser starts tomorrow. Your student brought home a permission slip on Friday. This must be returned for your child to participate. Remember, all candy money must be returned to receive your child’s reward for selling. Any unpaid balances will result in a forfeit of the earned prize.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We love celebrating our Eagles’ hard work and successes with all of you!

An update from Harper Carrico:
Dear Audubon Eagles, there is a chocolate fundraiser starting! There will be boxes of chocolates sent out to families who sign up. You can sell these chocolates to friends, family, and more people. This fundraiser helps us have better resources, fun field trips, and more fun activities for the students. This fundraiser starts on March 2nd, and ends on March 16th. Each chocolate box is 80$, with 40 candy bars in each box, which means each bar is the cheap price of $2. If you sell one box, you get a glow party! If you sell two, you get a glow party, a pizza party and a field trip to a park. If you sell 3, then you get all three and a ride in a Limo! The top seller who sells the most will get an $150 amazon card. All of these rewards sound so fun, and we will get more if you help us! Sell chocolate with us and help support our school.
Every Monday Morning, we celebrate students for many different achievements. Check out some pictures below of our celebrations this past Monday.
- Ten students' tickets were drawn for showing good behavior and they earned a prize.
- Ms. Jackson's class won the Golden Spoon award this week
- We celebrated 4 SOAR stories this week!
Social Emotional Learning
This week our students showed incredible grit as they worked through their MAP assessments. They stayed focused, tried their best on challenging questions, and kept going even when the work felt hard. We reminded them that the test is not about being perfect — it is about effort, perseverance, and showing what they have learned so far this year. These moments connect directly to our Portrait of a Learner, where we want every student to grow as a problem solver, a persistent learner, and someone who takes ownership of their learning. We are very proud of how seriously our Eagles took this responsibility and how they encouraged one another along the way. Thank you for supporting them at home with rest, encouragement, and positive words — it truly makes a difference!
