BHS Senior Survivor
Organized by National Honor Society
What is Senior Survivor
Senior Survivor is a fundraiser organized by Brighton High School's National Honor Society. Each year a group of seniors move into the high school where they remain until Friday afternoon. During the week they complete challenges and work hard to raise as much money as they can for the designated charities. Over the past 11 years Senior Survivor has raised a grand total of $634,000 to support various charities including : Ele’s Place, Pencils of Promise, Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation, I Will Right Now, Fund a Life, The Pulmonary Hypertension Foundation (in memory of classmate Madison Wegener), and The Sunflower Project.
About This Year's Charities
Fund a Life
Website: https://www.fundalife.org/
Fund a Life is a Michigan nonprofit driven by a relentless mission to shine light in life's darkest moments. When individuals or families face devastating crisis, we rally compassion, generosity, and community to lift overwhelming financial burdens and restore hope. Through continuous fundraising and community support, we are building a future where help can reach people the moment they need it most because no one should face life's hardest moments alone.
Children's Healing Center of Southeast Michigan
Website: https://childrenshealing.org/southeast-michigan-center/
The Children’s Healing Center is the first year-round recreation facility for individuals 0-26 years old with weakened immune systems and their families. The Children’s Healing Center serves kids, teens, and young adults diagnosed with autoimmune conditions, blood disorders, congenital heart defects, cancer, kidney disease, neuromuscular disorders, transplants, and rare diseases. Free programs and events are provided at our Southeast Michigan and West Michigan Centers with hospital-grade cleanliness, making social and emotional healing possible for the whole family. The Southeast Michigan Center opened its doors in June 2024 and serves families in 8 Southeast Michigan counties, Livingston County included, and serves families around the country that travel to Southeast Michigan for treatment. The Children’s Healing Center is honored to be highlighted in the 2026 Senior Survivor Week and wants to thank the Brighton community for their support!
