Evolv Begins This Monday
Please watch the video below to see what to expect on Monday
Evolv Message from Mr. Fisher
Dear Seckinger Families,
This is a reminder that starting Monday, August 25th, Seckinger High School will begin using the Evolv weapons detection system during morning arrival.
The implementation of the Evolv weapons detection system is part of a broader, multi-layered safety strategy that includes:
· Enhanced staff training in emergency response and threat detection.
· Upgraded surveillance and security monitoring systems.
· Ongoing collaboration with local law agencies.
Families may already be familiar with the Evolv system, which was successfully used at GCPS football and basketball games last year and piloted in June at three high schools that hosted summer school. We appreciate your cooperation in helping ensure a smooth transition as we expand its use to daily school operations.
What to Expect:
· Students and visitors will walk through Evolv scanners at designated entry points.
· Phones, keys, headphones and wallets should be placed in your bookbags and purses.
· If an alert is triggered, staff will conduct a brief secondary screening.
· Car riders and drivers, please arrive a few minutes early to allow for smooth entry.
Thank you for your continued support as we implement this important safety measure.
Sincerely,
Jimmy Fisher
Principal
Seckinger High School
