A Note from Mrs. Solomon and Mrs. Salto
A wonderful week! The sun makes a big difference for all of us! Students enjoyed their time with their classes today to share their friendship as a classroom communities.
Thank you to our many families for working to improve our arrival process, this week was much better - THANK YOU -
A Reminder for parents in the car line for arrival in the morning...
- Please pull all the way to the end of the yellow curb (right before the exit), or as far forward as possible to drop off.
- Please have students exit from the left side of your vehicle (it is very dangerous for students to exit out the right side of the car).
- Students can exit their vehicle at any time along the yellow curbed driveway.
- All drivers should remain in your vehicle, unless you have a two door vehicle.
- If a driver needs to get out of your car then please wait until you can pull all the way up to take your time and keep the safety and efficiency of the car line going.
- If you have a child safety lock or if your child needs assistance exiting your vehicle please let a supervisor know and we are happy to help (roll down your window and let us know).
- Please inform any other members of your family or friends that are dropping off of these rules.
Thank you for your cooperation and helping in ensuring a safer arrival environment.
There is no school on Monday or Tuesday for students, we will see everyone on Wednesday. Next week is Random Actos of Kindness week! Be on the lookout for what you can do to be extra kind next week!
Have a wonderful long weekend!

ATTENDANCE POLICY UPDATES
D303 Attendance Procedures Update
District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.
Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.
NEW VACATION POLICY:
The pre-arranged absence form and procedure are no longer in use
Vacations during school days are discouraged and will be considered unexcused absences
This change aligns with our commitment to maximizing instructional time for all students
We recognize that families sometimes need flexibility for travel or special circumstances. While we strongly encourage scheduling family trips during school breaks and holidays, we understand that this isn't always possible. We ask for your partnership in minimizing absences during the school year whenever feasible.
Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
