If you plan to order a guest lunch (or lunches) please click the button below and complete the order form. This will help give us an estimate for how many meals need to be prepared.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your student’s lunch time, no sooner. Guests will enter through the front of the building, meet their student in the gym, proceed through the lunch line, then go outside near the tennis courts for a picnic on the lawn.
When you are done eating lunch and students are ready to go to the playground, please say your good-byes. Parents are not allowed to join students at recess for security reasons.
5th Grade Kindness Retreat
Last week, our 5th graders got to participate in a Kindness Retreat with Youth Frontiers. They spent the whole school day in the Media Center doing team-building activities and learning strategies that will help them as they go off to Middle School. This opportunity was paid for by PTO and a District 279 Foundation grant.
Classroom Placement Input
It is the time of year when we begin thinking about next year’s classroom placement. A number of variables are taken into consideration in order to create a balanced classroom that will meet student needs.
Please complete the optional form below by Thursday May 4th, if there is information that you would like to share regarding your child’s classroom placement for next year.
We ask that you do not list individual teacher names, as we are unable to honor specific teacher requests.
Classroom placements will be finalized and available on ParentVue at the end of August prior to Open House.
*Please fill out 1 form per child*
Not Returning To Cedar Island Next Year?
If you have plans to move or change schools and your child(ren) will not be returning to Cedar Island next school year, please click the button below. This short questionnaire will help us make accurate plans and class lists for next school year. Thank you!
If your child will remain at Cedar Island next school year, there is nothing further for you to do. Your child's enrollment will continue on without further action.
Lost And Found
Our lost and found collection has gotten HUGE! If your child has lost clothing items throughout the winter, please remind them to stop by the lost and found to search for their items. Parents may come into the building immediately before or after school to search for lost items.
