💻 NISD Mobile Device Care Lesson
In an effort to educate all students, NISD Tech Services and the C & I Department collaborated to create NISD device care lessons for all students. All teachers are asked to present the Device Care Lesson during the weeks of August 19th - August 30th and upon completion sign the device pledge as a class or individually,
Mobile Device Care Pledge Objectives
- Educate students on the importance of handling Chromebooks & iPads with care to prolong their lifespan.
- Foster a sense of ownership, accountability, and pride in their school-issued devices.
- Reduce the incidents of accidental damage through increased awareness and responsible behavior.
- Create a culture of respect and care for technology in our school community.
🎒 Schoology: Elementary Experience
I love sharing the Schoology Elementary Experience as an learning option for our 2nd through 5th grade students! Currently, all Schoology settings are defaulted to Secondary. The Elementary Experience adds additional functionality for our young learners, especially our 2nd grade students who are transitioning from Seesaw to Schoology.
When you create a Schoology Assignment, the students have the option to respond with Photo, Video, Audio, Text, or Upload. What a great and easy way to add choice to your stations! Click on the image below and take a few minutes to explore the Enhanced Elementary Experience. With just a few clicks, you can easily toggle on this feature for each one of your Schoology courses. 💙 Classlink Quickcards for EE-2nd Grade
Did you know that students in EE-Second grade can easily log in to the portal using a Classlink Quickcard?
Here is what you need to know:
The ability to print class Quickcards will reside in the teacher of record's Classlink Portal. Check out this video on how easy it is: Teacher How To.
Students can log in to BOTH iPads and Chromebooks with their Quickcards. Here's how it looks on an iPad: Student Login.
Student privacy is of the UTMOST importance! Please DO NOT share these codes with anyone.
Pro Tip - Make a class set for homeroom use and create another set on a key ring, ready to use by your Discovery Specialists!
Technology Services has put together this fantastic site for all of your Classlink/MyNISD Portal needs.
Connect with your campus TSS and your Academic Technology Coach for further support!
