The Wildcat Way

Hello Wildcat parents, new and returning! Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year. I hope you've had a wonderful, rejuvenating summer and are excited to get back in the building.

We are hitting the ground running in Lincoln Middle School. Students are already MAP testing and have met their new teachers! We want our parents to meet their child's teachers as well. On Thursday, September 3rd from 4:30PM to 6:00PM, we will have our annual Curriculum Night. Come and meet the administration staff and teachers of Lincoln Middle School. This year, we want our parents to follow their child's schedule. Every 10 minutes, parents will rotate from class to class, just like their students do on a daily basis. Teachers will be waiting to greet you and tell you a little about their class. We can't wait to see you!

Principal

My name is Dr. Semaj Coleman. I am super excited to join the Berwyn North 98 team as the newest Wildcat principal. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Illinois in 2005. This is my 24th year in education, and 13th year as a school leader. I have served as a department chair, division head, assistant principal, and a principal. In my spare time, I love playing board games with my wife and children. I also love to travel. So far, my favorite trip was to Barcelona, Spain in the Spring of 2025.

I look forward to serving your children and watching them grow into intelligent, responsible young scholars!

My name is Matilda Medina. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where my passion for education began through teaching languages. I have a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics and taught Modern Languages in K-12 before moving to the United States. As a dual citizen of the United States and the Dominican Republic, I love to support students from various cultures and backgrounds.

I look forward to building a relationship with each student in Lincoln Middle School!
