Join Us for Cherry Creek Reads 2026: “Read Together, Shine Together”

Cherry Creek School District is excited to celebrate the joy of reading with Cherry Creek Reads 2026, happening from March 9-13, 2026. This year’s theme, “Read Together, Shine Together” invites students, staff, and families to come together to celebrate the power of books and the joy of reading.

The featured book for 2026 is All the Stars in the Sky by Art Coulson, is a heartfelt picture book about belonging, community, and discovering what truly makes each of us important.

How You Can Participate:

During Cherry Creek Reads 2026, we encourage all students, staff, and families to read for 75 minutes or more throughout the week. This is in honor of our 75th anniversary and symbolizes our district’s commitment to coming together to build a strong reading community. Whether you read alone, with a friend, or as part of a group, the goal is to inspire each other and share in the joy of reading!

🦅 How CCA is Celebrating:

  • The 75-Minute Challenge: Look for your "Read Together, Shine Together" tracker coming home soon! Track your minutes all week.

  • Prizes: Turn in your completed tracking sheet to the library by Friday, March 13 for a chance to win!

  • Reading Out Loud: We’ll be sporting "Currently Reading" signs outside our classrooms to share our favorite titles with the whole hallway.

Let’s come together to read, celebrate, and create a culture of acceptance and inclusion in our community!

FUN RUN 2026

Before we gear up for this year’s Fun Run, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors and our supportive school community. Your generosity plays a vital role in making this event possible year after year.

Our sponsorships are especially meaningful because they allow our school to keep 100% of those funds, helping us continue to support programs and opportunities that directly benefit our students. And just as important is the Fun Run itself coming up on April 17th, where we are asking every student to set a personal fundraising goal of $150.

When sponsorships and student fundraising come together, this becomes more than just a run. It becomes a school wide effort that strengthens our community and creates memories our students will carry with them for years.

Be on the lookout for our Fun Run Kickoff on April 8th, where we’ll share more details, build excitement, and officially launch the countdown to an amazing event!

Thank you for cheering us on, believing in our mission, and helping us make this year’s Fun Run our most successful yet. Let’s get ready for an incredible day of FUN!
