1st Quarter Report Cards are live on Progressbook for students and parents to view.

First quarter grades are live on Progressbook for your to view for your student. If you have any questions regarding your students progress, please reach out to their teachers. You can also sign up for a parent/teacher conference. Details of how to sign up for a conference have been sent out by your student's team and is also below.

• You will need your child's Student ID Number. The student ID number can be found on the login page of Progressbook when logging in on a computer. If you are logging in from the app on your phone, you can view the student ID number on your student's report card. Your student can also log in on their Chromebook on their student Progressbook and the student ID is in the upper righthand corner on the landing page.

Your student's team has sent out communication regarding signing up for conferences through ParentSquare. If you have not recieved that communication, please reach out to the team directly.

A Unified Arts update was sent out today that has the sign up procedures for scheduling a conference with them.

It is my pleasure to announce we are hosting the 5th annual MVMS Veterans Day Breakfast on November, 12th beginning at 8:30 am. The breakfast is open to all veterans and their families in our community. Students and staff members who have a veteran coming to the breakfast will have the opportunity to eat with them. The breakfast will be student-led and feature members from the 8th grade social studies classes, Band, Orchestra, Social Studies, and Work and Family Life. We will get the whole school involved by having them participate in generating awareness of the event, fundraising, and decorations, as well as participating in learning opportunities during Social Studies classes. Homework help will begin on September 9th. Homework help is an after school opportunity for students to receive additional help completing assignments and takes place in the Library most Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4 pm. Bussing is available to Columbia, Knox Learning Center, East Elementary, Pleasant Street Elementary, and Dan Emmett Elementary. Come prepared to work and stay on top of your assignments this school year.

Did you know MVMS has a Jacket Closet? It’s a discrete, caring space where students can pick up the things they need—no questions asked.

What’s inside the Jacket Closet?

• Clothing such as shirts, shorts, pants, and winter coats and hats

• Shoes

• Hygiene products

• School supplies, including paper, pens, pencils, and calculators

• Snacks

The Jacket Closet is all about making sure our students are comfortable, confident, and ready to learn every day. If your child could use something from the Jacket Closet, all they need to do is reach out to a trusted staff member.

We are proud to have this resource in place and are thankful for the generosity of those who help keep it stocked. Together, we can make sure all of our students have what they need to thrive.
