SALISBURY COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Weekly Newsletter 9/26/25
Hello and happy Friday!
It was wonderful to see so many families at the Open House on Tuesday evening. Thank you, to those who could attend, for fitting this into your already busy schedules. The students were so proud to show off their classroom, their desks/table spots, and the work they’ve been doing. The school was buzzing with positive energy --it was such a joy to see parents following their child(ren) around the building and learning about the things students experience each day. If you couldn't attend the Open House but would like to visit briefly with your child's teacher, don't hesitate to reach out to set up a day and time. Many parents received copies of the grade level standards At A Glance documents that were set out in each classroom. I am linking them below as well, and they will be added to our school website in the near future. Please review these documents to get a sense for what students are working on and learning in each grade. There is also a family letter linked below that explains the K-5 reporting system in ACSD with general timelines for each component.
There is a lot of important information linked below in addition to the At A Glance documents --from classroom updates, to school-wide events and announcements, to district-wide items as well. Thank you for taking some time to read it and please reach out if you have any questions for us.
Please note there is no school next Thursday or Friday.
Have a nice weekend,
Tracey

COMMUNITY DISCUSSION: ACSD School Residence Policy
You are warmly invited and encouraged to join members of the Addison Central School District Board Policy Committee for two upcoming conversations about how we will design a district-wide survey on our School Residence policy (C30). We want to hear your ideas about the kinds of questions the survey should include, so that it reflects the issues and experiences that matter most to families. these meetings are opportunities to provide informal feedback about what kinds of survey questions we should ask to get at the issues that matter most. Our goal is to gather experiences and ideas collaboratively so that the survey is clear, relevant, and useful. The meetings are open to anyone in the district.
