Dear Parents/Guardians

The End-of-the-Year (EOY) Assessments will take place this week, May 5th-9th for all scholars. The purpose of these assessments is to determine the measure of growth your scholars have made from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. The data collected will be a good measure to determine the needs of scholars going into their grade level for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are almost at the end of the school year! I still can't believe it. Here is the gist:

  • scholars have 19 days of school left
  • scholars must come to school everyday
  • scholars must be seated and ready for instruction 8:05 a.m.
  • scholars must exemplify positive behaviors

We are preparing to finish strong!

*******************************************************************************************************

End of Year Behavior Expectations! End of Year Behavior Expectations!

We are so proud of the growth that the vast majority of our Timberwolves have made with their behaviors! Please help us by continuing to encourage them to keep the positive choices going. :)

That being said, we are at the time of the year where all scholars have been given the expectations for appropriate behaviors. They have been allowed to reset and make correct choices. That being said, scholars in the last 19 days of school that continue to make the choice to not follow behavioral expectations will not be allowed to participate in any extra curricular activities. This includes, but not limited to:

  1. Field Trips
  2. Field Days
  3. Classroom End-of-the-Year Celebrations
  4. Promotional Ceremonies (they will still advance to the next grade level if they are passing)

If a scholar is deemed not eligible to participate due to behavior, you will be notified by their teachers.

*****************************************************************************************************

¡Estamos muy orgullosos del progreso que la gran mayoría de nuestros Timberwolves han logrado con su comportamiento! Por favor, ayúdennos a seguir animándolos a mantener buenas decisiones. :)

May 7th - National School Nurse's Day!

Parents/Guardians,

Wednesday, May 7, 2025 is the day set aside across the nation to celebrate school nurses. Nurse Brown has taken care of many bumps, bruises, nose bleeds, tummy aches, headaches, etc. She has been intentional and purposeful in ensuring that all scholars are cared for in her office.

Please team up with your scholars to show our very own Nurse Brown your appreciation for taking care of all scholars since day one of school in August 2024!

Thank you all in advance for your support.

💓Happy National Nurse's Day - Nurse Brown 💓

WE ARE STILL COLLECTING DONATIONS FROM YOU FOR YOUR SCHOLAR'S TEACHERS! WE ARE STILL COLLECTING DONATIONS FROM YOU FOR YOUR SCHOLAR'S TEACHERS!

Celebrating Our Dedicated Teaching Staff

This week is set aside to honor our amazing teaching staff. Through all things, they have maintained being on the frontline to ensure your scholars are engaged in aligned lesson activities. This is hard work that can sometime become exhausting and draining. The physical and mental toll on their bodies has not stopped them from showing up to teach every scholar assigned to them regardless of the academic or behavior deficit hurdles they have crossed with your scholars. They are steadfast and keep going in an effort to promote success in all scholars.

Help me show great appreciation and gratitude to the teachers and assistants for their hard work and continued dedication! I am proud to have lead this TimberWolf Pack! :)

Sincerely,

Principal Day

TEA ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

Be sure to contact our Attendance Clerk regarding your child being absent for any reason.

mflore3@springisd.org

Appointments & Excuses

If your child has a doctor's appointment, please try to schedule it after snapshot attendance time at 9:30am. Any student who arrives after 9:30am is counted absent, regardless of what type of appointment it is. However, it is recommended that in this instance, you still provide the documentation for any medical appointments to ensure the absence has been resolved versus left unexcused. Unexcused absences do not tell the story. But doctors' notes and parent notes do! Please submit doctor's excuses and parent notes within three days of the absence.

Tardies

School starts at 8:00AM. We have free breakfast each day and students can arrive as early as 7:35am! Students who are late, enter the room frustrated or off task, causing a disruption to the instructional day. Help our scholars learn meaningful lessons about life and work, by getting them to school on time to assist them in getting a GREAT START!

Student IDs Mandatory

Starting this school year, student IDs are mandatory for all Spring ISD students. IDs for elementary students must be worn on a lanyard and be visible at all times. All students will receive an ID and lanyard during the first two weeks of school. Once the IDs have been delivered to the campus, we will send out detailed information.

Important Updates to the Spring ISD Student Code of Conduct

Spring ISD has a Student Code of Conduct to promote a safe and disciplined learning environment for every student that will be strictly enforced on our campus. Therefore, please review with your family these standards of conduct along with the disciplinary consequences for infractions.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and I ask you, as parents, to partner with us by speaking with your children about appropriate behavioral expectations to ensure a positive learning environment in our school.

TES TRAFFIC REMINDERS: Safety, Security, & TES Traffic Flow Plan

Your continued support is needed with following the established safety protocols set on campus to ensure the safety of all scholars.

1. When dropping scholars off to campus, please do not leave scholars on the school property before 7:35am as there will be no adult supervision before that time.

2. Please do not drop your scholars off on the curb or sidewalk. Please utilize the car rider line to ensure a potential accident does not happen.

3. If you walk your scholars to school, please do not enter through the doors beyond the cones but rather stop and allow your scholars to enter and walk to class.

4. If you drop your scholar off after 8:05a, you must walk them into the building and sign them in at the front office.

It is necessary that all protocols are followed daily and consistently to ensure the safety of all scholars and staff. We appreciate your diligence and support.

Thank you,

Principal Day
