ReadTheory is an online reading comprehension assessment tool for students. It allows students to read narrative, informative, or informational literary passages and answer corresponding comprehension questions, while tracking student performance and reporting progress to teachers.
You simply register your students and set them off. The first time they log in they take a placement test. From there on the readings adapt to the students level based on their performance. Teachers are provided with the number of quizzes a student has taken, their grade level performance, the average Lexile level of their readings, and “Knowledge Points” which are awarded with correct answers on quizzes.
Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday of November. Explore the rich historical and cultural aspects of this American holiday with Thanksgiving activities, lessons, and printables. You can incorporate Thanksgiving into many of your classes, such as Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. There are arts & crafts projects with which your students can demonstrate their creativity, math worksheets so they can show their critical thinking skills, references to teach the history of Thanksgiving, and activities perfect for your students to show their vocabulary and reading capabilities.
