A Message from Mr. Bryant
What a week of incredible achievements and energy across CSMS! From exploration outside our halls to celebrations within them, our students and staff continue to shine. Our 8th graders returned from the Lake County NAVIG8 Career Fair beaming with enthusiasm and loaded with exciting insights about their future pathways. The momentum carried right into Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting, where we proudly celebrated our 6th/7th Grade Soccer team for capturing the Lakeside Conference Championship, as well as Moulee Gupta for receiving the prestigious Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Award.
To top off an already unforgettable week, we have groundbreaking news from our music department: out of more than 400 middle schoolers across the area who submitted video auditions for the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) District 7 Honor Band Festival, eight of our very own CSMS 8th Grade Symphonic Band students were selected—the most in CSMS history! Please join us in congratulating Arianna Yumpe (flute), Jas Kabat (tenor saxophone), Tom Popowitch (trumpet), Ruth Plohr (french horn), Hunter Pawlak (trombone), Ben Hlousek (euphonium), Adrian Alba (tuba), and Veronia Niedbalec (tuba) on this monumental achievement. After a summer of dedicated practice and coaching, these standout musicians are now gearing up for the November 14th festival, where they will work directly with Dr. Kim Fleming from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We couldn't be prouder of our students' hard work, passion, and historic success!
A reminder, we will have parent/teacher conferences on Tuesday, November 17th and Monday, November 23rd. Please see the information below for when to reserve a time to meet with your student's teacher.

Lunch Survey
We are committed to providing students with a positive and enjoyable dining experience. As part of our ongoing effort to support the needs of our school community, we are partnering with Whitsons Culinary Group to gather feedback on our foodservice program. We invite students, families, faculty, and staff to participate in a brief survey and share their experiences and perspectives. Your feedback will help us better understand what is working well and identify opportunities to further enhance our meal program.
Take the Survey: https://xmp.insight-surveys.com/s/fall-2026
Your input will help us:
• Assess satisfaction with our current food service program
• Enhance the meal experience for students, families, and staff
• Enhance the overall dining experience throughout our schools
The survey will be available from October 26 through November 6 and should take only a few minutes to complete. Responses will be collected by Whitsons and shared with our school administration as we work together to continuously improve the program. We encourage everyone who participates in our school meal program to take part. Your feedback is important and greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us create the best possible dining experience for our school community.

New Information
- The Board of Education of Mundelein Elementary School District 75 is committed to ensuring all students have access to educational and co-curricular opportunities. To support this goal, the district will waive all school fees and fines required for participation if a student’s parent or guardian qualifies for assistance. To be considered for a waiver of registration and beginning-of-year fees, returning families must submit their application by October 15, 2026.
Applications submitted after this date will apply only to future fees. New families have 30 days from their student’s first day of school to apply; if approved within that window, registration fees may be waived.
