Major's Minute
A few things were missing this week that I couldn't not find ...
1) An email regarding the Divisional Youth Retreat. I wanted to get the word out to the youth so they had a little more time to prepare. I kept looking through my email - the inbox, the deleted box, the send messages. I even searched for the email by topic, different possible senders and nothing.
2) Celestine's passport. I kept counting the same three passports over again and couldn't find the fourth. I looked in different areas - my purse, drawers, under the bed, in the kitchen. Nothing.
3) My contacts. I had two boxes of contacts, one for the left eye and the other for the right eye. But, for some reason, I could only find the box for the left eye. I definitely need both contacts for the right prescription for each eye.
Well, come to find out later - that ..
1) An email was never sent regarding the Divisional Youth Retreat. I only thought that I received it and was looking for something was never there.
2) When taking the time to slow down and look at the passports again, I realized that I had Celestine's passport all along! It was Janae's passport that was missing becuase she had it in her room.
3) My contacts are still missing. But, I happened to find an older box of contacts that I was able to use. However, the prescription is slightly different.
Maybe if I had my proper eyesight, I would have been able to see things better these past weeks. I'm sure there's an application in there regarding seeing correctly. But, I really wanted to share these things because I had a good laugh!
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

The theme for last year’s congress, Testify, was designed to encourage each one of us to tell more people about Jesus, more often. The most effective way of sharing about Jesus is to tell your own story. Over the next 20 weeks we will be sharing with you a short “testimony” video from the leadership team of the Territory, and our cadets who will be commissioned as officers this year.
Feel free to share these with others as encouragement, and share your own story. (If you are not sure what your story is, or are searching for the answers to your spiritual questions please talk to any officer)
The second testimony of the series is Cadet Antonio Rio:
The 2025 Holiness Retreat is open to officers and soldiers who want to be rekindled and reminded of daily holiness and Holy Love. Join Dr. Bill and Rev. Diane Ury as guest speakers as they discuss the pursuit for holiness in our lives.
Registration is now open to all officers and soldiers.
See you there!

Why GROW?
- Convenient & Effective: Online/Live training can be just as powerful as face-to-face sessions, with added flexibility and reduced costs for everyone involved.
- Relevant Topics: In 2025, GROW will focus on key areas essential to church growth and spiritual development, including:
- Evangelism
- Discipleship
- Local Lay Leadership
We will have different sessions focusing on training for Corps Members, Local Officers and Officers, and Ministry leaders. Each digital training will include 3 to 8 weekly sessions, depending on the topic. Participants may have to pay a fee per course (if needed), covering the cost of training, handouts, and supplementary learning materials.
The first course of five sessions will take place from March 6 to April 10, 2025. It will be held every Thursday at 6:30 pm (PT). There will be no fees for this class. This session, led by Lt.
