Pre-K 3's May Newsletter 2026
Stepping Up Celebration!
SAVE THE DATE! Our Pre-K 3 Stepping Up Celebration will be on June 22, 2026.
All families will be invited to school for our celebration. It is important that each child has a family member present for this celebration. Each family will receive 2 tickets, please plan accordingly.
The children will sing and dance as part of the end of the year celebration. Your children work very hard practicing! This is a very special day for you and your child to spend celebrating with their family. Please check your child’s ClassDojo for more information in the coming weeks.
We are studying Balls!
This month, the children will learn about Balls in our new study. They will learn about all the different types of balls, how people use balls, what balls are made of, what is inside them and how high they can bounce.
You can help your child at home by spending time with your child playing with balls of different shapes, types and sizes.
You can ask your child the following questions:
What is this ball made of?
Is it heavy or light?
Is it big or little?
Can you count backwards?
In math, we will continue to practice counting from 1-20.
At home, you can pretend that you are going on a rocket ship ride and count backwards from 10-0.
If your child has mastered that skill, try counting backwards from 20-0.
It's a great time to use a Cool Culture Pass!
We hope you are continuing to use your Cool Culture pass! We love hearing about all the museums that you have visited with your family already this year! As the weather gets better, it’s an even better time to use your Cool Culture pass to start visiting the zoos!
