Welcome Back Roebling Families!
I hope you are having a wonderful summer filled with time to relax, recharge, and make special memories with the people you love. It’s hard to believe a new school year is just around the corner! Our teachers and staff have been busy preparing classrooms, planning lessons, and getting everything ready, and we are so excited to welcome our students back. Roebling just isn’t the same without them!
Our theme for this year, Growing Kind Hearts & Curious Minds, is a wonderful reminder of what we hope to see in our students each day. We want our students to be ones who care about others, ask questions, try new things, and continue to grow both as learners and as people.
We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, welcoming new ones, (especially the Class of 2039!), and filling our hallways with the energy and excitement that make Roebling so special. Thank you for being such an important part of our school family and for partnering with us as we begin another great year together.
Welcome back, Roebling! We can’t wait to see you!

Genesis Opens August 24th
Genesis will open on Monday, August 24th at 3:00 pm to allow students/parents to view schedules and or assigned teachers. Prior to viewing your child's schedule you must complete the required forms and update your child's emergency contact information. Please note that your emergency contact must be able to pick up your child within 30 minutes of being contacted.
By logging into Genesis, parents can find out their students schedules, teachers, grades, assignments, etc. This is a great online tool to help you stay connected throughout the school year! Click the link below for more information on how to navigate the online Genesis parent portal.
Here Comes the Bus
Our transportation office is working diligently to get schedules in place for students eligible for bussing as we launch the upcoming school year.
Busing information will be emailed to parents by mid August.
To prepare for this school year, if your child will be taking the bus and has a cell phone, please have them download the "Here Comes the Bus" app on their phone. This app is used for the students to get their ID barcode on their phone (if they have one) so that they can scan it on the bus with their phone instead of their ID. All other students will still need to scan their ID or the barcode on their phone morning and afternoon. Old student ID's can be used until students receive their new ID (mid- September after school pictures are taken). Any questions or concerns, please contact the Transportation Department at 609-499-4600 ext 4711
First Day of School
First Day Arrival
To help make the first day of school a little less stressful and a lot more fun our teachers will be outside on the blacktop from 8:05–8:20 a.m. to meet and gather students, weather permitting.
How will you find your child’s teacher?
Each homeroom teacher will be holding a sign with their name, making it easy to spot them.
Will I get to meet my child’s teacher?
Absolutely! Your child’s teacher will be happy to greet you and shake your hand. Please remember that the main goal of having teachers outside is to help students feel comfortable and ready to start the school day. If you have specific questions or concerns, please send an email or message at another time. Teachers will be focused on welcoming students and helping them settle in.
Pictures 📸
The first day is a memory worth keeping! We’ll have a few photo backdrops set up around the blacktop so you can capture those special moments before the bell rings.
Dismissal Locations
- Kindergarten and Preschool – Students will exit through the front door.
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade – Students will exit from the playground side of the building.
We kindly ask that all parents stand behind the painted line during pickup. This will help reduce crowding and make it easier for staff and students to safely locate one another.
Grade-Level Pickup Locations
- 2nd and 3rd Grade – Closest to the road; students will exit through the first set of doors.
- 1st Grade – Near the wooded area; students will exit through the second set of doors.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Starting on the second day of school (and every day after), students may enter the building through the main doors between 8:05–8:20 a.m.
Please arrive on time. This helps your child start the day ready to learn and avoids the stress of walking in late. Drop and Go will be open for you on the parking lot side of the buidling starting at 8:05. Please do not line up in the lot before 8:05 so our staff have a chance to get in and ready for the day.
Dismissal locations will remain the same as the first day.
Safe Dismissal
All students must let their teacher know when they see their adult. The teacher will then ensure the student is dismissed safely.
For everyone’s safety, please do not call your child over or pull them from the line. This helps us keep dismissal organized and secure.
Parking Reminder
All parents must park across the street in the parking lot or along 10th Avenue.
🚫 No parking is allowed in the side parking lot. This area is reserved for buses only.
Thank you for helping us keep arrival and dismissal safe, organized, and welcoming for everyone!
