October 2, 2026

Good afternoon,

We are pleased to be entering October, although today seemed much more like summer than autumn. The Student Council has finalized the Spirit Week themes for the week of October 12th. Tuesday, 10/13 will be Twinning Tuesday; Wednesday, 10/14 will be Comfy Day; Thursday, 10/15 is Throwback to 2016; and, Friday is Class Colors- White (Freshmen), Green (Sophomores), Yellow (Juniors), and Blue (Seniors). We look forward to seeing everyone’s school spirit! Have a great weekend!

Updates:

  • Financial Aid 101: On Monday, October 5th at 6:30 p.m., please join Chris Cox, an Education & Career Counselor from Granite Edvance for this informative presentation! This session will help families navigate through the federal financial aid process including the FAFSA, explore what type of additional aid is available, review scholarship searches and highlight the importance of meeting deadlines. Attendees will receive Granite Edvance’s Financial Aid Insider.

  • District Safety Night: On Thursday, October 15th, from 6:00-7:00 pm, we welcome the community to Golden Brook School for a district parent safety night. Our School Marshals, Eric O’Brien and Phil O’Loughlin will join Assistant Superintendent Dr. Hagerty to present the district’s Safety Response Protocols (SRPs) to parents and explain how we train staff and students.

  • Class of 2027: This is a friendly reminder that students must submit their senior photo, an alternative photo, a baby photo, and their Activities, Message, and Quote for the yearbook by November 2nd (via this form). Please note the photo, baby photo, and quote will be used in the graduation slideshow on the jumbotron as well! If there are any questions or need help submitting- please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Crimmin (kcrimmin@windhamsd.org) or Mr. Cirelli (mcirelli@windhamsd.org)
