Important Safety Drill Announcement Important Safety Drill Announcement

Dear Pablo Tac Families,

Next week, our school will practice two safety drills to help students and staff prepare for emergencies.

  • Thursday, October 15 – Earthquake & Evacuation Drill: As part of the Great California ShakeOut, students and staff will practice “Drop, Cover, and Hold On,” followed by a safe evacuation.
  • Friday, October 16 – Lockdown Drill: Students and staff will practice staying safely inside locked classrooms.

We understand these drills, especially lockdowns, may cause worry or anxiety. Teachers will explain each drill in an age-appropriate way, reassure students, and remind them that these practices help everyone prepare for emergencies and that adults are here to keep them safe.

How Families Can Help

  • Talk at home: Reassure your child that drills are practice, just like practicing fire safety at home.
  • Request support: If your child needs extra reassurance or a check-in with administration or the school counselor, please contact the front office or reach out directly.

Thank you for helping us keep our Pablo Tac community safe and supported!

Every Day Counts: Keep Our Hawks in School!

Dear Hawk Families,

Every school day matters! Being at school every day helps students learn, build friendships, and succeed. Please make every effort to send your child to school daily unless they are sick and need to stay home.

If your child has a fever of 100.4°F or higher, repeated vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms that may be contagious, please keep them home. Students should be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning to school. Other symptoms may also require staying home, so please consult our school health office if you are unsure.

Let's work together to make sure our Hawks are healthy, present, and ready to learn every day!

We Want to Hear From Our Families!

Your voice matters! As we continue working together to support our students and strengthen our school community, we invite all Pablo Tac families to review and provide feedback on our Family Engagement Policy and School Parent Compact.

These documents outline how our school and families can work together to support student learning, academic success, and the overall well-being of our students.

Please take a few minutes to review the documents and share your thoughts, suggestions, or questions. Your feedback helps us ensure that our family engagement practices reflect the needs and priorities of our school community.

Help Support Our Pablo Tac Farmers Market!

Volunteers Needed Throughout the School Year!

Our Pablo Tac Farmers Market is a wonderful opportunity to support our students and families by providing access to fresh, healthy food. We are looking for parent, family, and community volunteers throughout the school year to help with set-up, assisting families, and clean-up.

You do not need to volunteer every month even helping occasionally makes a big difference!

Interested in volunteering? Please contact Alejandra Garcia, School Counselor, to learn more or sign up for an upcoming Farmers Market.

Thank you for being part of the Pablo Tac community and for helping us support our families!

Student Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures Student Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Morning Drop-Off

To ensure a smooth and safe drop-off process, please remember:

  • Have your child ready to exit the car before reaching the drop-off area. Say your goodbyes early to help the line move quickly.

  • Please remain in your car. If your child needs extra assistance, kindly park in a designated spot before helping them.

  • Exiting your car in the drop-off lane slows down traffic and impacts everyone’s morning.

Afternoon Pick-Up

  • Dismissal is at 2:55 PM. Families may not line up for pick-up before 2:30 PM.

  • This is especially important after Labor Day, when Kinder dismissal begins at 2:10 PM. Arriving too early causes the loop to back up before dismissal time.

  • All parents must remain in their cars during pick-up to keep the line moving safely and efficiently.

We appreciate your support in keeping our drop-off and pick-up process safe for everyone!
