Welcome Back!
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year with the DCMS “Swampland Band.” I’m so excited to see our band students achieve at the level I know each and every one is capable. I know that students are involved in many things, so I try to limit any commitments outside the school day. With that said, each event is extremely important. A calendar of events and detailed information about the band program can be found in the band handbook accessible below---as well as through the band website. Thank you in advance for your support!
All Students
A green "First Day Handout" packet will be given to each student on Monday. Please ask your student for theirs, read through the pages, and return the necessary items.
7th and 8th Grade Students
We will begin playing in class on Wednesday, August 5. Students should bring their instruments, binders, books, and needed accessories beginning Wednesday. We will begin the year by reviewing content from last year.
6th Grade Students
These first few weeks of 6th grade will be focused on introducing students to what band is, trying out their beginner instrument options, and communicating instrument assignments. Information about all of those things are included in the first day handouts. Even more will be sent home and communicated throughout the next few weeks.

● Each instructor will set their own rates
