Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Thank you to everyone who helped make the start of the school year so smooth and successful. Our first day could not have gone any better!
It was especially wonderful to see our upperclassmen warmly welcome our newest students and help them navigate the building. Their kindness and leadership exemplify exactly what we expect and value here at Pentucket.
Thank you to our families for preparing and supporting your students, and to our staff for their hard work, care, and attention to detail. Together, you made these first few days truly special.
We look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
Enjoy the long weekend and the last days of summer!

Cell Phone Information
We understand the importance of technology in today's world, and we believe that these devices may be valuable tools when used appropriately in the academic setting. At no time should a cell phone or electronic device become a distraction that prevents learning. The district network and device policy may be found in the handbook under section VII C.
Cellphones, Smartwatches, and earbuds are not allowed. If your child brings one in the building, it will be turned into their first period class teacher and locked away for the school day
Students who violate the procedure will be subject to progressive actions:
First offense: Phone brought to office and parent will be notified to pick up the device
Second offense: Students will have a detention and parent will be notified to pick up the device
Third offense: A discipline hearing will be held.

NEW INFORMATION:
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We are excited to welcome a graduate intern who will be joining our Student Services office working with our school counselors throughout the 2026/2027 school year. Joining us again this year will be Ms. Jordan Sanger, a graduate student at Rivier University who completed part of her internship with us during the 2025/2026 school year. As an intern, she will work with counselors to provide support to our students. We are fortunate to have Ms. Sanger back with us again this year.
What will an intern do in the Student Services office? An intern is a student from a college/university who is completing a supervised internship to gain practical experience in a school setting on their path to licensure. Our interns are closely supervised by a fully licensed and experienced school counselor, ensuring they provide appropriate and effective support.
Will Ms. Sanger work with my student? In what capacity? Ms. Sanger will be involved in various aspects of the counseling program, including
Meeting with students to provide support as our counselors do, offering a supportive space for students to discuss their feelings, challenges, and goals.
Supporting classroom lessons.
Assisting with academic, career and postsecondary planning.
Observing and learning.
Confidentiality- As with all members of our counseling team, discussions between students and interns are held in strict confidence, with the same ethical standards applied. This policy helps foster trust and allows students to feel safe and supported when they need to discuss sensitive topics.
Please feel free to reach out to me or your student's counselor if you have any questions about our guidance internship program. Should you not want your student to work with our guidance interns, you can opt out here.
Sincerely,
Janna LD Millard, M. Ed., CAGS

Pentucket Athletic Association – Fall Kick-Off Meeting
Pentucket families,
Fall sports season is here, and we're kicking things off with an important meeting!
Thursday, September 10th | 7:00 PM | Outside the Library
Who Should Attend?
This meeting is open to all families, athletes, and community members. We strongly encourage that at least one captain's parent from each fall sport be in attendance.
What We'll Cover
- New Booster Dollar Process — Learn about updated procedures for how booster funds are utilized, including how purchases and payments will be handled going forward.
- Booster Support Overview — Get a clear picture of how the Pentucket Athletic Association boosters support our athletic programs and what that means for your student-athlete.
Why It Matters
These updates directly impact how our teams access and use booster funds this season. Your attendance ensures a smooth start for everyone involved.
We look forward to seeing you there — let's make it a great fall season!

MSHS Arrival & Dismissal
Classes
7:35 - First class begins. Please be here prior to school starting!
2:15 - Last class ends
Drop off/Pick up
Drop off begins at 7:00 a.m.
(It is a very busy time, please allow an extra 15 mins. in the am!)
Pick up begins at 2:15 p.m.
Safety reminders
For the safety of all students and families, it is never okay to pass another vehicle while in the drop off lane. This includes situations where you have already picked up your child and are ready to leave. You must remain in the queue until the vehicle in front of you begins to move.
For BOTH pick-up/drop off lanes, students must exit/enter car on curb side only.
Please see pictures below showing the traffic patterns.
Forgotten Items
We will not be accepting forgotten items to school during the day (school projects, sports equipment, school lunches, water bottles. etc.)
When items are dropped off, the Main Office must contact the classroom and call the student down to retrieve them. These interruptions are a significant distraction to teachers, students, and the overall learning environment. Additionally, the Main Office cannot guarantee that dropped-off items will be delivered to students.
If a student forgets something they need for an after-school activity or commitment, arrangements will need to be made once the school day has ended.
Bus Routes 🚌
The PRSD Transportation Link has been posted for the 2026-2027 School Year.
Pentucket School District Bus Routes have been designed by Salter after careful consideration of a large number of factors, including parent responses on the PRSD Ridership Survey. These routes have also gone through a process of revision after the drivers have driven the routes. If you have questions about the routes and stops that you want to share with Salter please use the Bus Route Questions Form to share additional details. You can also call the Salter office at 978-462-6433.
Early Dismissal Procedures
Whenever possible, please enter your child’s dismissal in the Infinite Campus portal at least one day in advance.
If the dismissal is entered in the portal, your child does not need to bring a separate dismissal note to the office. If you are unable to enter the dismissal in Infinite Campus, your child must bring a written note to the main office before 7:30 a.m. on the day of the dismissal. The note should include the reason for the dismissal and the dismissal time.
For an absence or dismissal to be excused for a medical, dental, orthodontic, or similar appointment, documentation from the provider must be submitted to the school within 48 hours.
We strongly discourage same-day or on-demand dismissal requests because they disrupt the school day and may be difficult to process promptly.
Back to School Health Forms 🏥
Please log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and review your child's Health Form. This form contains health information currently on file with the school, including information such as allergies, medications, and authorization to administer medication.
Please review all information carefully and take the appropriate action:
If all information is current and no changes are needed: Please electronically sign the form in Infinite Campus to confirm that you have reviewed the information and that it is accurate.
If any information needs to be added, changed, or corrected: Please do not electronically sign the form. Instead, print the form, make the necessary updates, and have your child return the updated form to the nurse at their school. The school nurse will update the information in Infinite Campus.
It is important that we have accurate and up-to-date health information for your child. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the nurse at your child's school.
