September Family Night @ the School Forest!
Our September Family Night at the School Forest was so much FUN! We had hotdogs on the grill, read stories around the campfire, found leaves, acorns and pine needles to make special creations with, went on a scavenger hunt through the woods and enjoyed making s'mores!
Here are some photos from that event! We hope to see you at Great Lakes Elementary in November for the next family night!
4K in October
Your kiddos are learning so many new things & doing such a fantastic job! It's been a busy month in preschool! We've been working on establishing relationships, creating rules & routines and consistent structures so your child knows what to expect when attending school. In 4K we focus on helping kids learn through play and hands-on engaging activities.
Families can help at home by
- Encouraging independence - "first you try, then I'll help", letting your kiddos walk into preschool on their own (please don't carry them into school), letting them carry their own backpacks, etc.
- Creating consistent morning and evening routines - try to create a morning routine that is not rushed; it'll be easier in the long run for everyone.
- Limiting the amount of screen time your child is engaging in - read books with them, carve out time for them to explore books/puzzles on their own as well, have them help you set the table for dinner, etc.
The weather has been so beautiful - I hope you're enjoying the outdoors as much as possible! ;)

Cathedral 4K - Anna Jacoby
We are off to an AMAZING start in 4K at Cathedral! We’ve been trying our hand at building bridges, creating tall towers, making new friends, and having so much fun being back with old friends, too! Our classroom has been filled with learning, laughter, creativity, and lots of smiling faces. We sure are having a blast, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!
