Kasson-Mantorville Middle School
March 2026 Newsletter
A Message from Mr. Larsen
Hello KMMS Families,
I hope everyone's March is off to a great start. We have continued to have a positive and rewarding school year and we look forward to continuing this momentum into the remainder of the school year. Please read a few brief notes below. And, as always, feel free to contact the middle school office should you have any questions.
Student Engagement Opportunities
Please review the 'Community News' below for fun and engaging activities for our middle school students. At K-M, we strive to provide our students with multiple opportunities to attend before and after school. We have amazing programs and leaders who devote time to enrich the lives of our students. There are some spring activities and summer opportunities. Please review below.
Celebrating Student Achievements
Spring is an exciting time at Kasson-Mantorville Middle School as we celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students in academics, athletics, and the arts. Please review the Honor and High Honor Rolls below.
Behavior Expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Engaged
At KMMS, we continue to reinforce our core behavior expectations:
Be Safe – Make choices that protect yourself and others.
Be Respectful – Show kindness and consideration to peers, teachers, and staff.
Be Responsible – Take ownership of your actions and commitments.
Be Engaged – Be present, participate actively, and strive for success in all areas.
We encourage parents to reinforce these values at home to support a positive school culture.
Strengthening the Parent-School Partnership
At KMMS, we believe that student success is best achieved when parents and schools work together. Here are a few ways we can strengthen our partnership:
Stay informed by reading school communications and attending events.
Encourage your child to embrace learning and extracurricular opportunities.
Communicate with teachers about your child's progress and any concerns.
Reinforce school expectations and values at home.
Thank you for being an integral part of our school community! We look forward to a fantastic month ahead.
8th Grade Graduation
I know we are a few months away from the Grade 8 graduation, but I want to ensure everyone has the date and time well in advance of June. The 8th Grade Graduation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 6:30 pm in the middle school gym. More information will follow as we get closer to the end of the school year. We hope to see you there.

Josh Larsen, Principal
