Homecoming dance

The Homecoming Dance 2024 was a complete success. The Class of 2027 put on an amazing dance with very little funds. This was due in no small part to the generous donations of Shon

James as our DJ and Beta Erway as the photographer…both donated their time and expertise!

This year’s theme was Oceans with the tickets displaying the original artwork of Sophomore, Audry Wright. 129 students attended the dance and many stayed to dance until the final song played at 10 pm!

Thanks goes out to the Dream Team of Alicia Davis, Shawn Turner, Casey Pekarski, Kayla Brown and Amanda Risser as well as to Mr. Eskesen for chaperoning and Marci for cleaning up the glitter from the floors long after the students had gone home. We hope you enjoy a few of the candids from the dance.

Instructional Success Instructional Success

5th grade ELA

Ms. Darush & her 5th grade class took advantage of the beautiful weather and took their learning outside! They practiced collaboration, communication, and grammar in small groups by completing a task-card activity. They even finished reading their novel, The Kid in the Red Jacket.

Grades 3 - Math

Mr. McIntire's third grade students are working hard to model and represent the properties of multiplication. In this picture they are writing equations to represent different ways to group the 3 factors the model shows. We have also mastered the commutative property, and we are doing very well with the distributive property!

Pre-K

Pre-K had a wonderful week learning all about apples with their student teacher Miss. Greeley! They learned the apple life cycle, learned how to make apple pie in a cup, and apple sauce. They learned about Johnny Appleseed and made fun shirts and hats to celebrate!

Grade 3

Mr. McIntire's students wrote descriptive paragraphs about the fall season. They needed to use sensory words to describe what they hear, see, smell, taste, and feel in fall. They were also expected to use a compound sentence to reinforce a skill we had been practicing in class. Aria and Kenedee did an excellent job describing what they experience in fall.

Grade 1

First grade has been working on writing. They have learned about the invention of the ice cream cone by Italio Marchiony on September 22, 1903. We then celebrated the day with ice cream cones.
