What a short but busy and instructionally strong week at CSLA! Students have been completing end-of-unit assessments, while teachers continue to monitor their progress and make in-the-moment instructional adjustments to meet each student’s individual needs.

As a reminder, Monday is a non-student contact day. While our teachers and staff will be working, planning, and preparing, there will be no school for students. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, September 15!

Please review the Important Reminders section of today’s newsletter for information about our upcoming all-school field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher or the main office.

Have a wonderful three-day weekend, and enjoy the sunshine! ☀️

Driveline Dismissal Reminder 🚙-

To help keep dismissal safe and efficient, please remember to:

  • Display your student’s assigned Driveline number when arriving for dismissal. This lets staff know that an approved adult is ready to pick them up.
  • Remain in your vehicle. Your student will be directed to walk safely to your car.
  • Do not park in the lot and walk to the doors to pick up your student. This delays Driveline and creates a safety concern for pedestrians crossing through moving traffic.
  • Always use the designated crosswalk when walking through the parking lot. Our students have practiced this expectation, and we appreciate families modeling the same safe behavior.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep dismissal safe, secure, and efficient for everyone!

Whole School Field Trip to Museum of Nature and Science: 🚌

Our all-school field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is Wednesday, October 7! Please return your student’s signed permission slip to their teacher by Wednesday, September 30.

Students should arrive at the regular 8:00 a.m. start time. Transportation, admission, and school-provided sack lunches are free. Approved parent volunteers are still needed—please contact your student’s teacher if you are interested in being a chaperone!

Consistent practice strengthens foundational skills and helps students improve their accuracy, efficiency, and confidence in mathematics. Families are encouraged to support their students by discussing their strategies and celebrating their effort. Please contact your child’s math teacher with any questions. Thank you for helping us build strong and confident mathematicians! ➕📚
