8th Grade parents, be sure to see the flyer below for your child's 8th grade panoramic picture! That date is coming up soon!
If your child attends an afterschool event, they must have their ID, be in dress code and follow all school rules. We provide reminders to students that they should call for their rides in time for them to arrive as soon as the event is over. If students are still needing supervision 15 minutes after the end of an event, they may not come to another afterschool event without a parent. Thank you for your help with this!
NO FOOD DELIVERIES from outside individuals. Parents may drop off items when needed, but we will not accept Door Dash, etc. This is a safety issue, and we will turn away those deliveries.
Attendance Matters: Remember that in junior high, even early check outs count against your child's attendance. Students who attend school and have high attendance have higher achievement. Encourage your child to be in school, unless they are sick. We ask that you not attempt to check out your child after 3:30.

DON'T FORGET TO BUY CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE!
TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICE POLICY
Students will no longer be able to have telecommunication devices during the instructional day. This is due to Texas State Law. Students will not use their phones in class, or during passing periods, in locker rooms or restrooms. This includes cell phones, smart watches and wireless headphones. They will have access to their school issued chrome books during class.
If telecommunication devices are visible, they will be collected and brought to the assistant principals' offices. The first time, students will be able to collect at the end of the day, and parents will be notified. The second time, parents will be required to come to the campus to collect the device. Additional infractions will have additional consequences.
We Love our Volunteers!
Katy ISD is excited to continue the implementation of the District’s Raptor Volunteer Initiative for the this school year. The district requires all volunteers serving on campus during the instructional day to register with the district through its Raptor security system.
Raptor ensures quick and easy volunteer registration allowing individual volunteers to create and manage a personal volunteer profile. In addition, the Raptor Volunteer Initiative will:
- Provide an additional layer of protection for Katy ISD students, staff, volunteers, and campus visitors
- Unite all district volunteers into one Katy ISD volunteer community
- Measure and communicate the positive impact of Katy ISD volunteer organizations
