Updated Week 10 Message from Our Captain
Dear Pirate Nation,
As we move through the quarter, our students will participate in a variety of assessments, including District Quarterly Assessments, STAR testing, classroom unit exams, and other common assessments. We encourage all students to take each of these opportunities seriously and give their very best effort.
While state testing takes place later in the year, the information gathered from these assessments is invaluable. The results help teachers identify strengths, pinpoint areas for improvement, adjust instruction, and provide targeted support to ensure every student continues to grow. These assessments serve as important checkpoints that help us monitor progress and prepare students for future success.
We encourage families to support their students by ensuring they get a good night's rest, arrive at school on time, and maintain a positive mindset. Every assessment is an opportunity to learn, grow, and move one step closer to our goals.
Together, we will continue to stay Anchored in Excellence as we work toward academic success for every Pirate!
Anchored in Excellence,
Misty M. Cruz, Principal

October is National Bullying Prevention Month
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a nationwide campaign dedicated to raising awareness about bullying, supporting those who have been affected, and promoting safe, inclusive school environments. Established in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, this annual observance encourages schools and communities to foster kindness, acceptance, and respect for all.
As part of the month-long campaign, students, staff, and community members are encouraged to participate in Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, by wearing Orange to show their commitment to preventing bullying and supporting those who may feel isolated or marginalized.
