Election of School Ambassadors Election of School Ambassadors

On Tuesday, ten candidates put themselves forward to be considered as this year’s School Ambassadors. Each stood up in front of the whole school and explained the reasons why they felt they would make the best representatives for the school. The speeches were excellent, and the candidates all had some superb ideas for events and improvements they would make to school. Each class visited the ballot box throughout the day and cast their votes, and we can now reveal that the Year 6 School Ambassadors for 2025-26 are… Boaz and Olivia!

In their first interview after having been appointed, Olivia said that she “couldn’t be happier” and Boaz said he was “very excited” to begin the role. Both pupils said that they had heard some of the children saying they would vote for them during the day, but that they had a nervous wait until the votes were counted, knowing how strong the other candidates also were. Boaz said, “I am looking forward to helping the little ones,” and Olivia said, “The school is already amazing but I want to make it even more exciting!” When they were asked about the one thing they promise to try to make happen this year, Boaz said he would like to organise a Bake-Off/Bake Sale later in the year, and Olivia is very excited to make her idea of a ‘Disney Day’ happen. Congratulations to our new Ambassadors who we know are going to be excellent representatives of the school!

A huge well done to all ten candidates, including our runners-up who we hope will take on some of the other pupil representative roles throughout the year: Katherine, Scarlett, Ella, Primrose, Millie, Olive, Jeffrey and Felix.

Well Done Team Cathedral! Well Done Team Cathedral!

On Wednesday, a group of Y5 pupils went to Outwood for a football tournament against all the other Ripon Schools. It was a pretty soggy morning but they all showed great resilience. Well done to Stan and Kacper for receiving a certificate for determination!
