As we get closer to the end of the school year, please note that our Early Childhood and WELE half day programs end the school year on different days due to our calendar. Kindergarten has a different last day as well. Please see the schedule below so that you know which day your child's last day of attendance is for this school year.

EC/WELE Program Last Attendance Days:

6-4 Last day for AM (Regular day for AM/PM)

6-5 Last day for PM (Early Release for K, EC/WELE only PM comes and it's their last day)

6-6 No EC/WELE in attendance

Kindergarten Special Attendance Days:

6-5 Early Release @10:40 a.m.

6-6 Last day of school for Kindergarten; Early release at 10:40 a.m.

Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is observed in the United States during the month of May, and recognizes the contributions and influence of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

As always, we love to use books to share with students the stories that feature Asian and Pacific Islander characters. These are great stories you and your family can read over and over again, even when it's not May.

Staff Appreciation Week is Monday, May 6th-Friday, May 10th. We are so excited to celebrate our amazing Primary School staff! Thank you to all of our families that signed up to send in a special treat to stock our fridges and lounge, the treats have already started to come in and we are so appreciative of your food donations! We will be stocking the fridges and lounge on Tuesday, so if you did plan to send one of our items in, please send it in by Monday, May 6th. Thank you!!

Another great way to celebrate our staff is having your child draw a picture or as a family, write the staff member a note. They love it! It makes their day to know they have positively impacted your child's growth and development.

5/14-5/17 - Intermediate Book Fair. Students will shop during PE class during the day and the book fair will also be open during Open House on the evening of 5/15. VOLUNTEERS Needed!

The PTA is looking for Volunteers for spirit wear sales at Primary Sneak Peek on Saturday 5/11 and Intermediate Open House on 5/15. VOLUNTEERS Needed!

5/14 - Second Tuesday Fundraiser - Wendy's (Gurnee), 5-8pm. MUST mention Woodland PTA when ordering 30% of sales will be donated to the PTA.

5/16 - FINAL PTA Meeting, 7pm via ZOOM, REGISTRATION required.
