Family Resources
In D303, we value the opportunity to provide a community of care and support to our families, especially those faced with financial hardship.
If your family is currently experiencing a significant financial need, our community partnerships have several supports available for families including: school clothes/shoes, winter coats/accessories, school supplies, toiletries, holiday meals, and/or holiday gifts. If you would like to be considered for any of these supports, please complete Family Resource Form by September 11, 2026.
The St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Board of Education voted on August 10, 2026, to place a ballot initiative on the November 3 ballot asking the community whether the District should issue bonds to fund maintenance needs and educational facility improvements. 5TH Grade Choir
Dear Families of 5th Grade Students!
You are invited to participate in the 5th Grade Choir Program next year! This is a district-wide program for all Elementary Schools! This program will run in a similar fashion as the current Elementary Band and Orchestra programs with one weekly before school rehearsal, but will NOT conflict with any band and orchestra rehearsals. Students may participate in any and/or all 3 music ensembles if they choose. The choir program will run September through May! Students who also want to be Orchestra Ambassadors may also be in CHOIR! Mr. Brito and I have a system we use so students may do both.
5th Grade Choir will meet one morning before school each week from 8:05-8:50 a.m. Parents/guardians will be responsible for dropping off their choir student at school early on these rehearsal mornings.
The cost for choir is $20 for the school year. You will be charged the choir fee through Pushcoin once choir registration has closed September 8th. Students will also be asked to purchase a choir t-shirt which is required for choir performances. Ordering information for the t-shirts will be available later in the fall!
All 5th grade choir members will participate in the Vertical Voices performance with select middle school and high school choirs in January, the Wredling February Concert, as well as the 5th Grade Choir Festival with all D303 5th Grade Choirs in May--3 concerts total.
The goal of the 5th grade elementary choir program is to offer a formal choral music opportunity to our young students and to enrich their musical experience while preparing for middle and high school vocal music possibilities. We will work on ensemble practice, team building, vocal technique, vocal health, unison and part-singing, all through a rich variety of vocal music repertoire. I look forward to this adventure and hope your child will be a part of this wonderful experience!
If your 5th Grade student is interested in choir, please fill out this REGISTRATION FORM!
(If your child is not interested in choir, you do not need to fill out the form)

How do I contact the office?
Please email the office at nor-office@d303.org
What time can my student arrive to school?
We open the doors at 8:50am for student arrival every morning. Students should not be dropped off before that time as there is no supervision for students. If you arrive before drop off time please keep your child in your car until the appropriate time.
Arriving Late To School-
If your child is arriving after 9:05am please walk them into the school and sign them in. Please also notify the attendance line if you plan to arrive to school after 9:05am.
How do I report an absence?.
Absences should be entered thru ParentVue App or called in by 8:45am if your child will be absent for any portion of the day. The number is 331-228-2700 and has voicemail. You can Enter the absence in ParentVue as it is available 24 hours a day.
Even if you notify your child's teacher of an absence via email, please also still notify the office to ensure attendance is recorded properly at 331-228-2700. Please note that if your child is sick, they should be fever free and have no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. Of course, you can always email the teacher as well, but you need to formally notify the school of any student absence.
Is your child leaving school early?
Also, if you will be picking up your child early or taking your child out for an appointment, please let our front office know as early in the day as possible by reporting the absence in Parent Vue App or call the main number at 331-228-2700 and email your student's teacher. This can be very helpful should a pick-up time be when the child is in specials or at lunch. Kids can be indoors as well as outdoors depending on their schedule and it can take a few extra minutes to locate and get the child down to the office for an early pickup if they are not in their classroom.
What if my child has a change in dismissal/transportation?
Please let the school know as early as possible if there is a occasional change to your child dismissal calling office prior to 12 noon directly at 331-228-2700 and email your student's teacher. Dismissal time can be very hectic and to help ensure a smooth dismissal, getting any transportation changes for students early is very helpful. Simply call the school office at 331-228-2700 and let them know. We kindly ask that you notify the school and teacher by 12 noon if there are any changes. Please try to keep a consistent schedule for you student as much as possible to avoid confusion.
What if my child forgot an item at home?
If your child has forgotten an item at home and it is needed for that day please email the classroom teacher to notify them that you will be dropping an item off. Bring the item labeled with the name and teacher to the office and place the item in the bookcase by the front window.
What is my child lost/misplaced an item at school?
Please ask your child to check the lost and found table. You can also email the classroom teacher to let her know that your student is looking for an item. They will allow time for them to check the table in the Community Room.
