Greenacres Family Newsletter

From the Principal's Desk
As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to share some highlights and express my gratitude for the incredible community that makes our school so vibrant.
First, I want to extend a massive thank you to our wonderful PTA for launching and managing our very first year of Popcorn Fridays! It has been an absolute joy to see the excitement in the hallways every Friday morning. These small moments of community and "salty-sweet" fun have quickly become a favorite tradition for students and staff alike. Your hard work behind the scenes truly makes a difference in our school culture.
For the past two weeks, our students have been showing incredible focus and stamina while completing the SBA (Smarter Balanced Assessment). I have been so impressed by their perseverance and the "growth mindset" theyβve brought to each testing session.
A Quick Shout-out: Please remind your students how proud we are of them! Their hard work doesn't go unnoticed, and we appreciate your support at home in ensuring they arrive well-rested and ready to do their best.
As we flip the calendar to our final weeks, please keep a close eye on your email and take-home folders. We have a flurry of upcoming events and traditions that make Greenacres such a special place to learn. From field days and fun run's, to final assemblies and classroom celebrations, we want to ensure every family is in the loop for these "only at Greenacres" moments.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for making this school year one to remember. Enjoy the sunshine and have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Brandon Dunn
Principal

Dear Families,
Our school is committed to supporting the well-being of our students and families. We are so excited to have started our Greenacres Food Pantry this school year, and we are pleased to offer food boxes to families who may benefit from additional support. These boxes include a variety of shelf-stable food items and are available to any family in need. If you are interested or would like more information, please reach out to Mrs. Belknap or Mrs. Ward. We are here to help and want all of our families to feel supported.
Warmly,
Christina Belknap, School Counselor
Traci Ward, Kindergarten Teacher
