Welcome November!
Dear Saint Peter Cathedral School Families,
As we welcome the month of November, we are reminded that this is a sacred time in our Church when we honor All Saints and All Souls. We pray in gratitude for all the saints who have gone before us and for all the souls who have left this earth in the past year. May their faith and example continue to inspire us to live lives rooted in love, service, and devotion to God.
As we begin this new month, I want to thank each of you for choosing Saint Peter Cathedral School as the academic and spiritual home for your child. Your trust in us and your commitment to our mission mean more than words can express. Together, we are shaping young hearts and minds to walk by faith and live with purpose.
May this month be filled with God’s blessings for you and your family. Let us continue to keep one another in prayer and to walk always in the light of Christ.
A Prayer for November
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of this new month and for the saints who have shown us how to live with faith and courage.
Bless the souls of all who have gone before us, may they rest in Your eternal peace.
Fill our hearts with gratitude and hope as we continue to serve You through our words and actions.
Watch over our students, families, and teachers, and may Your grace guide us in all we do this month and always.Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
With gratitude and prayer,
Mrs. Karen Banta

Basketball Team at SPCS UPDATE
An interest survey for school sports was included in last week’s newsletter. In that message, we also shared that we were in need of coaches and invited any interested parents to complete the form. At this time, we have only received four student interest responses and no parent responses for coaching.
Unfortunately, we cannot move forward with forming a school team without a coach. We hope to revisit this possibility again next year, as we would truly love to have sports teams at Saint Peter Cathedral School. Both student participation and parent involvement are needed for this to become a reality.
.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
November Is Black Catholic History Month
In the world today there are more than 200 million people of African descent in the Roman Catholic Church. Martin de Porres is said to be the best-known black Catholic from the Western Hemisphere. His father was a Spanish nobleman, his mother a black former slave. He started practicing medicine before he was 13. Martin was canonized 300 years after his death.
